Titans IDPs (1 Viewer)

I don't think any of you have him but from what I hear, Mike Brown got hurt pretty bad in practice and will likely go on IR.
I would expect his spot to be filled by a CB not a S. They're very confident at safety and quite unsure at CB all of a sudden. If they can add anyone or bump someone up from PS that can "step up" that would be big

The Titans safeties missed tackles has come up with the DC and he always finishes saying something along the lines of ya know we don't want them leading our team in tackles right?

I don't think the national or select beat reporters are correct that there is anything of a safety issue. They're doing way too much since the LBs played poorly and now the CBs. They'd be back to wonderful if they could just do their job.

Finally people are seeing what I see and commenting that Gray's excessive tackle numbers are way after the LOS. (I know y'all don't really care in IDP leagues) It's my opinion he's not doing his job well and a good coach of a good team would be benching or threatening to bench him right now. Instead, we're a bad team praising a LB tackling a back 4-6 yards past the LOS and not even asking where Barton is.
You never wonder where the best ILBs are. They're constantly on your TV screen.

Callahan's involvement with the defense continues to be destructive and bring so called loser habits. I don't think there is anyone that would tell him so right now. If he's fired, I would expect an uptick from the defense right away.
For his sake, he needs to change and empower and improvise and come across as attacking and scheming creative- not what he's doing now

I only noticed Winston on ST
I saw Williams on a return fall for a fake and recover and make the tackle but grabbing his arm.

Big Jeff looks like he wants to be DPOY. Announcers were loving him beating 2-3 blockers. Little Kyler scooted away from him a couple times.

Hoping Sweat is back next week and Winston can work in. Big jolt if so.

Armour Davis was toasted by Junior and settled down. Idk his IDP stats but I think he's got the "pick on me" sign over his head.

Harris had a penalty on ST, Callahan was way overboard in his reaction so I'm a little worried he's in the doghouse when he should be working into the CB rotation.

Much of the game the safeties were doing too much again. Gray was getting blocked like respect for last week and Barton swooped in a few times to make tackles.

It really wasn't good but they pitched a shutout in the second half and kind of made due

Callahan spoke like Winston on ST was first step and his role will increase next week

A lot of fluff today
Winston was cheered for his first game back from ACL.
Defensive mistakes praised as "he settled in afterwards"
It's really been a bit much.

I think this Tuesday presser stuff is all an act. They never call Tuesday pressers and did when Callahan was expected to be fired but instead gave up play calling. Now they've continued as if "see we always do this" and the positivity is so overboard I'm ready to buy a time share in a swamp

Ruled OUT for the
@Titans
vs Raiders:

OLB Arden Key
OL Blake Hance
CB Marcus Harris
WR Bryce Oliver
K Joey Slye

Femi was put on IR
Ali Gaye bumped up
Harrell probably moves up or actually into the three man rotation

Gray starting was Callahan's decision.
Williams barely or not playing defense was sooo curious.
There's some possibility that Williams is subbed in as backups traditionally are this week.
Sweat's presence should greatly help the LBs

Curious if you own Williams (or backed him early) and are subconsciously biased in your opinion of Gray. Remember this is his first full year and is playing pretty well. Others are seeing things different from you. https://youtu.be/pfp-Q_siwWk?si=Qsof-MMhVaAN9zv9
They are talking about him shooting gaps, getting off blocks and making plays.
He's better every week.
I think it's been a couple weeks since I mentioned him sorry about that.

Maybe because the team stinks, if he makes a tackle fans were acting like he's the greatest. It's more common, or realistic now.

IIRC Marks had a good day when he had 17.

Hea definitely better each week

As far as Williams, there were reports last season and then this offseason he was starting and impressive and....two weeks(IIRC) before the season started, Gray had a great game and was suddenly starting over him.

It was expected to be a share of two young backers.

Williams hasn't gotten in or it's like a few snaps. We don't have much talent. Those guys get winded and make mistakes. He can't sub?

Also, the former safety was supposedly going to be the dime backer. He hasn't been. He's got usefulness and he's just not playing most weeks. I think sub him in some

Here's a quote today-

-McCoy said a number of things contributed to New England racking up 387 yards of total offense, including 175 yards on the ground. "It's a combination," McCoy said. "We have to be in the right gaps at certain times, run fits, who is supposed to be doing certain things – that was the biggest thing. It was not just one position, or one person, it was everybody."

*****
Why are they not subbing and coaching the guy brought to the sideline. Why is this always the after game type quote?
