First, just want to say that this forum is always a huge help. Thanks to Jene, Anthony, and everyone else.

Hopefully this isn't a Honda, I searched and didn't find anything. Does anyone know how much playing time Rushing will see on defense? If he's going to be returning kicks and punts, he could have huge value in leagues (like mine) that give points for return yards. If he's going to get a few tackles or pass defenses on top of that, he could be a beast in some scoring systems.

He looks pretty buried on the depth chart, though. Any idea of how often he sees the field with the defense instead of the special teams? TIA.

I have no idea... :goodposting: . Tim Jennings is out, but I don't know who won the nickel corner job anyway. I think in the long term, it'll be Jennings or Hughes. Tonight, though, Rushing could play in the nickel and he's certainly going to get more than one shot at returning a kickoff.

I need to find a special teams that will be productive this year. Scoring is 1 pt per 7 yds Punt return, 1 pt per 15 yds Kickoff return, 6 pts per touchdown with bonus points for TD yardage.

I currently have the Colts and your comment on TJ Rushing's high expectations answers one of my questions. But who else should I consider for special teams. No defense, just special teams.

Here is the list I have to choose from.

49ers, San Francisco

Bengals, Cincinnati

Bills, Buffalo BUF

Broncos, Denver

Buccaneers, Tampa Bay

Cardinals, Arizona

Chiefs, Kansas City

Cowboys, Dallas

Eagles, Philadelphia

Falcons, Atlanta

Giants, New York

Jaguars, Jacksonville

Jets, New York

Lions, Detroit

Packers, Green Bay

Panthers, Carolina

Raiders, Oakland

Ravens, Baltimore

Seahawks, Seattle

I was also thinking Buffalo based on their past years success and Terrence McGee is decent return threat. What about Seattle and Nate Burleson?

Or should I stick with Colts and give TJ Rushing a chance?

Thanks Jene. I'd agree that Rushing should have lots of return chances. But I already have Rossum, Rhodes, and Landry, so I don't want to take a chance on the guy just yet until I see how much time he gets on the D (would have to drop one of those three to pick him up). McGee went undrafted (we're only in our second year, and people still haven't grasped the importance of returning DBs yet), so I might just wait and see how things work out the first weekend before I make any changes. Didn't want to pick up McGee with all the talk about him not returning as much with Clements gone.

McGee lead my league in IDP scoring last year, but he did have some tackles and defensive points thrown in there. However, as mentioned above, most folks seem to think that with Clements gone, that he won't be returning as much. But Herman still has him listed as KR in this weeks Returnguys. Not sure how special teams ranks by team, though.

Not sure I get this logic. BOTH starting CB's were on the field for about the same # of plays when Clements was there. How is McGee going to wear down more whether he is covering the WR1 vs the WR2? Also, in the limited times I saw Buffalo play, McGee was on the WR1 at times anyway.Am I missing something here(biased McGee keeper league owner)?

I would go with the Bills. McGee is so good returning that I can't see them changing. Plus, as you mentioned, the Bills are almost always one of the better special teams in the league.

Noonan, I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that some people think that with Clements gone, McGee is their best CB, and as a result they may not want to take the risk of him getting hurt on KR duty. Not saying I agree, just saying that's what I'm hearing.

It was silly to not draft him, regardless. I just picked him up, so now I'm with Noonan in hoping things are just like last year.

Thanks for the input, guys.
