TNF: Cleveland at Cincinnati (1 Viewer)

Did Hill ever go back in after the fumble?
1 snap.

I think this first half has proven Gio Bernard still has a significant role when he comes back. The time to sell high on Hill has come and gone. The way the Bengals defense looks the Bengals are going to be playing from behind a lot in the 2nd half in the season and that favors Gio.
The Bengals coaches are idiots. He has one fumble and goes in the doghouse. One in the pros and one in college. He clearly has a ball security problem.
And then Burkhead comes in to a HUGE hole on that 3rd down draw that should have been a big play, and gets dragged down by the weakest arm tackle of the year. Is there any doubt that Hill picks up 15-20 yards on that play if he's in there?
Probably right but not my point about Hill. Going into this week everyone was huge on Hill especially for this week. Including myself because the Browns stink vs the run. But my point is the Bengals offense really stinks right now and their defense may be worse. Think about all the players Cleveland is missing and yet they still are moving the ball effectively. Good teams are going to tear that defense apart. That means the Bengals will play from behind a lot and that favors Bernard. When Bernard gets healthy Hill's value in this ugly offense going forward is going to be very low. Going into this week though you probably could have got something pretty good for Hill. After this week, if Bernard returns Hill may become waiver wire fodder again in the near future.

You know, I just don't buy that sowing confusion among your players in the name of "competition" is a good idea. If Crowell is better, start Crowell and give him a 70/30 split. If Tate is better, likewise. If it's West, go with West.

Good teams always seem to have well-defined roles. Muddle is just muddle, and no one performs at their best in the middle of muddle.

no fumble but c'mon Crowell don't swing the ball around like that.

When you have two starting quarterbacks, you have none.

A lot of daylight, and not only do you get corralled from behind, but you're loosely holding on to the ball. It'll get overturned but those are the types of plays that stick in coaches' minds.

Exactly. Human beings like to understand the environment they're working in. ####### with people's heads is just bad management.
