**TNF on Prime - Eagles at Giants**(+7.5, 40.5) 8:20 (1 Viewer)

Giants I’m sure will be blown out but what they are doing with scrubs on offense is wild.

Wow. What an amazing game.

Jaxson Dart with scrub WRs to deliver that kind of performance was incredible

But thought he had no chance against this roster this week.

No one in the know thought the Eagles would blow out the Giants this week. Especially when they were down by 2 scores at the start.

Guess we know whose predictions we should absolutely not be listening to each week now.

I said my gut was that the Eagles lose. Fwiw.

Fangio usually does well against rookie QBs.

Eagles are pissed.

Eagles 31
Giants 16

I think it could well be more like 31-6.

Fangio will feast on Jaxson Dart.

I basically had it backwards. :lmao:

I still don't know what to think of this game.

New Orleans beating this team is wild.

I thought the 7.5 line was being generous to New York. That's why they play the games.

But Nabers on the sideline and Dart dealing to 3rd tier receivers was nuts.

This just just poorly

This is your play on here. I think you only do it with the Eagles but it usually goes like

"Eagles are GREAT! NO WAY THEY LOSE TO THIS BUM TEAM"

Then you get to celebrate when you're "wrong"

All G man we see you

It's been like this the last few years and I believe it's because the schedule is so much harder now to generate because of all the variables

Thursday Night games in which they want every team to play at least one.
Europe games which require traveling teams to have a bye the next week.
two teams using same stadium....Rams/Chargers Giants/Jets

Just a thought

What's wild is the Browns played last weekend in London in a Sunday game, flew back to the US, and now have to face the Steelers this weekend in Pittsburgh in an early window game. But the Steelers are the ones coming off a bye and get to play at home against a jet-lagged team.

It could be a case of home Giants are vastly superior to road Giants.

No celebration. I, like most people, thought the Eagles would win. As I said, I thought it would be more than the 7.5 points. But Las Vegas thought a touchdown plus margin.

What an unexpected outcome.

And yes, Giants Fans, congrats on a great win.

I like how you live in the Eagles thread so much that we should charge you rent, tell every Eagles fan if they mention anything Cowboys related "rent free" yet you are also seems to see yourself as some sort of mature wise old man above it all. Never change bro lol

Don't forget to tell me how "Youre so sorry for coming in and you didn't know you needed permission to post in here"

And then repeat it all again lol

Of course all fans are welcome in any thread, on the big nationally televised games, I think every fan base will naturally have opinions on the games. It's the few times in a week where everyone is watching the same game.

And then of course for all the games at regular times, there will be interest in some more than others.

I thought it was like stealing. Crushed my parlay almost by halftime.

Always bet the home defensive dog. Best sports gambling advice I’ve ever received.

For a team that lost to the Saints last week, you were much more confident than I was. But you were right.
Eagles have looked wonky on offense all year. Having shares of Smith, AJB, and Barkley has me watching more Eagles than I ordinarily would and there’s a funk to that team right now.

Also missing their best pass rusher and having issues at DB, I kinda thought NYG would kick enough FG to keep it close. I didn’t see a Giants blowout happening.

@The Frankman who else are our Giants fans here?

What's the vibe there for these 2?

A fanbase for the last decade+ that's been accustomed to season's being over in October and paying attention to the tankathon rankings. 4 wins in 30 odd primetime games since 2017 heading into Thursday night. Abysmal division record in the same period. Tickets being sold to opposing team fans to help cover the costs of the PSLs.

No way I thought we'd beat the Eagles. Jaxson Dart and that group of WRs.

Do we finally have an identity, other than bad football?

Good for you Folks. I know a few Giants fans and they are great fans. They've slogged through some rough times of late.

Giants fans, how likely do you think it is the team continues to roll?

Obviously, Skattebo isn't scoring 3 TDs every game. And I have to think the clock strikes midnight for these C list wide receivers.

What do you think?

Yep that was real, I remember that was posted on the MLB Discord I'm on.

Also while Giants fans are estatic over getting a legit win over the Iggles and getting the first TNF win in 10 years, it's important to note the WR room with no Nabers and Slayton is barren, the depth behind the starters is also non-existent, and the discipline of the secondary is horrible. A more "together" team would have been able to take advantage of the Giants mistakes and not make so many themselves.

Also, legit worry about Dart and Skattebo taking so many hits. Skattebo plays the game like CTE is a myth, whiel Dart literally jumped and made helmet to helmet contact with an Iggles LB that game. They're got to find a way to take less hits (Dart has said he'll never throw the ball away), and the Giants need to find a 2nd RB to pair with Skattebo (Not high on Tracy and Singletary is kinda cooked).

Agreed. I don't think people realize how bare the WR room is. Which made Thursday night even more remarkable.

I too worry about the hits for Dart and Skattebo.

But on the flip side, Vic Fangio is a great DC. It's not like they rolled an average roster or DC.
Missing all pro DT Jalen Carter, all pro CB Quinton Mitchell and our best edge in Nolan Smith, FWIW

Of course. Most every team is missing people by Week 6. That's the league. The Giants were down to WanDale Robinson as their WR1 and a 4th round rookie RB as their starter.

Yep, just saying that’s the top three defensive players outside of Zach Baun. So when you say “it’s not like they rolled an average roster” it actually kind of is. Those are our last three first round picks.

Yep. Part of the league is next man up. Few rosters have all their best players by Week 6. Certainly the Giants offense did not.

But even missing 3 players, I don't think I'd call the defensive roster average. And certainly Vic Fangio is miles above average. I truly expected him to feast on a rookie QB this inexperienced.

wasnt able to watch the game on TV, but was following on espn gamecast while at work. Final score suggests a blowout, but didnt seem quite that bad for most of the game. Yardage was similar and Eagles were in/near the redzone about to make it a one score game when the big interception and return occurred.

@The Frankman is your bio right - New Yorker living in Philly?
lol yep. Initially it was a "couple summers with family" kinda thing and then moved fulltime to Philly in 2017, not far from University City.

Dang, GB.

How's that been this week?
A lot of stunned folks at work. Friday was a bit of a ghost town in the city. Fans looking for answers are just tired of the inconsistent nature of the offense... ironically no real complaints about the D, people I've heard understand the Mitchell injury is massive and that Carter being out was big. Philly fans also seem to get that Dart and Skattebo look good, and I've already heard on radio how both are going to get "Welcome to Philly" moments the next time they play in 2 weeks. :D

Interesting. I can see that.

Next game will likely be wild.

Is Florio being an alarmist for talking about the potential loss of a draft pick for player and coach entering the medical tent?
Sounds like it. I dunno - until I hear the details of what was said by whom, I’m not making judgements.

A lot of the suspension talk seems to start with if/then hypotheticals. It’s definitely alarmist because it might be a false premise.

Welcome to 2025 media. If he’s right, it’s not alarmist. If he’s wrong, no one will care and there will be a flood of “was it the right decision to not fine them?” articles, each one dumber than the last.
