I commish a league on AOL and I set up my league so that players who are dropped from teams go on waivers for a 24hr period. At the end of the 24hrs, these players are placed w/ the team w/ the highest claim rank that tried to claim the player. If no one makes a claim for the player, he goes to Free Agency.

Anyway, the 24hr deadline has passed for pretty much all the players and eventhough myself and others made claims for certain players, these players went to Free Agency instead of being placed w/ teams w/ the highest claim rank. I checked my settings and everything is set up correctly. The Claim process runs from Tuesday morning until Wednesday night and that process worked perfectly.

I was wondering if anyone else who uses AOL is having the same problem w/ Waivers. I emailed AOL and it'll be atleast a day before I hear back from them, but in the meantime Ive had to shut down Free Agency until this gets sorted out.

thanks!

I haven't heard anyone complain. I have it set up a little different than you. If a player is droped he is inactive until the start of RFA. Which teams can then Bid on the player. It seemed to work well.

I'm in 2 leagues that switched to the free AOL this year and I have to say that the waiver system is a pain in the ars.

Are you using the claims system, or just waivers?
im using both claims and waivers. Claims run from Tuesday morning until Wed at 9pm. Free Agency starts immediately after and ends Sunday morning. Waivers lasts 24hrs from when the player is dropped. The players that people are trying to claim off of Waivers were dropped on Thursday. THey went into the 24hr hold like they were supposed to. But at the 24hr mark, instead of going to the team that made a claim for him, the players all went to Free Agency.

You're doing something wrong, I've used them for three years now with no problems.

Check your setup.

Must be something set wrong. I've been using AOL for 3 seasons and haven't had any problems. Players lock 5 minutes before their games start. Claims process Wednesday at 5:00. Free Agents are set to process Thursday at 5:00 and dropped players are set to be available immediately. Has worked well for us.

There isn't a seperate rank for Waiver claims is there? I see a rank for the Claims process which ran perfectly. I put in a claim for a player who was on Waivers, but it didn't process. The parts of the Waiver process that work are: 1)dropped players go on waivers 2)teams can make a claim for player on Waivers. But the part that assigns players based on rank didn't work. The only "ranking" I see is for Claims ... does Waivers use this ranking too?thanks!

:goodposting: They have two different systems. You have to really make sure that you read through them carefully and make sure you're selecting the right options in the right systems. What you are talking about is the waivers system. Make sure you have that setup correctly. Also, make sure that you're making the claims under the waiver system for players that have been dropped. This is different than making claims for players that are free agents. I screwed mine up at first last season.

Waivers are a separate system from claims.
