Left hammy.....just reported on NFL Network

All those who put TO before Steve Smith on their cheatsheets, run fast and change it again :D

can i take a bunch of doom and gloom quotes from the steve smith thread and post them here?

adjusting your cheatsheets based on these type of injuries is foolish imo

If TO catches two TDs in the first game, what's over/under on contract renegotiation holdout? I say seven weeks.

I think the TO and Smith injuries are different, and that Smith's situation is a much larger cause for concern. Smith already had lingering problems with his hamstring back in June. TO did not. Then, on Smith's FIRST day of full practice of testing the hamstring, he re-injures it. So, whether Smith continues to have problems with the hamstring as the season progresses is a legitimate question.

Also, from my perspective, the severity of Smith's hamstring injury seems much worse than TO's. Smith had to be carted off the field after the injury, TO did not. The reactions to their respective injuries have also been much different, which I believe is very telling. TO was joking around with Jerry Jones on the sidelines yesterday whereas the reaction after Smith's injury was much different-- Smith was visibly angry and John Fox commented that he could be held out for a "few weeks"--no such comments from Cowboys camp stating TO may be held out for that long.

To add even more fuel to your argument, it was reported TO was on his exercise bike afterwards. this is not serious at all.

And he was tutoring other rookie WRs afterwards.Non story.

There are no more laughs about TO's injury now that he's missed a second straight day of practices:

What's The Scoop:

Wide receiver Terrell Owens rested his sore left hamstring again Friday morning after missing his first practice of training camp Thursday.

Dressed in sweats and a baseball cap, Owens watched while the Cowboys practiced for two hours on a soggy River Ridge Complex field.

Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells said he didn't know when Owens would return to practice, but he wasn't concerned about his star receiver's hamstring. And Owens said Thursday he and the team are simply being cautious.

"I don't know that he has an injury," Parcells said. "I think he's worried about it. That's really what I think is going on."

The Cowboys plan to conduct a form of live scrimmage here Saturday. Parcells didn't say whether Owens will be available.

"Well he's got to get ready to play, that's for sure," Parcells said. "He's got a lot of work to do, so the sooner we get started the better."

Cowboys | Owens says he will likely miss Saturday's game

(KFFL) Mac Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys WR Terrell Owens (hamstring) said he will likely miss the team's preseason opener Saturday, Aug. 12. He also believes he will probably not participate in practice for the rest of this week. However, he did not sound absolute with his answers and sounded more like he was guessing.

After seeing what TO did in the Super Bowl a few years ago after being out for so long, he would probably be among the last guys to be concerned about.

John Clayton also reported on Mike and Mike this morning that TO would likely miss the first preseason game but would return to practice early next week. For what it's worth, Clayton indicated that he didn't think the injury was a big deal and that the Cowboys are just being very cautious with it.

TO is having his personal training team flown in today to help rehab his hamstring... and that includes the 2-seater hyperbaric chamber that he used in rehabbing his busted leg during the '04 season.

(KFFL) Todd Archer, of the Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys WR Terrell Owens (hamstring) did some light running Tuesday, Aug. 8. It was the first time he had done some light jogging since injuring his hamstring.
