On the Patriots injury report is says Brady is probable with a shoulder injury, when did this happen, first I've ever heard of this??? Will his play be limited, any NE homers please chime in on this shoulder issue, thanks.

you're kidding, right? i think he's been listed as "probable (right shoulder)" for literally every game for three straight years now.

Check the Patriots injury report every week for the last 2 seasons. The answer will be obvious.

Add to the discussion that veteran QBs were in Foxboro this week working out (See Vinny Testaverde).

Could his shoulder be acting up? He did have off-season surgery....

Matt Cassel anyone?

Jeff, c'mon. It's like the others above have said. Brady has literally been listed as probable-shoulder on every injury report for the last 2+ years. It's apparently some form of Belichick protest or statement to the league office concerning injury reports. Brady's fine. Don't get rumors started on this crazy rumor-hungry board.

 It's only possible if you've been living under a bus for the past year and a half. :11:

its also entirely possible that this guy is a regular. this is clearly a horrible attempt at fishing.:fluffpiece:

Saw this interesting bit from a Brady interview yesterday:

How do you feel physically?

I feel great. I feel great. I do. The best I’ve felt in a long time.

Your arm or your shoulder doesn’t hurt?

Why? Am I on the injury report this week?

You’re always on the injury report…

That’s right. That’s right. I think there are periodic times throughout the season when I rest my arm for a day. My shoulder feels good. My arm feels good. We’ll see how it goes. I feel great. I feel great.
I have no idea what to make of this...

Actually, he was listed as Questionable in week 15 last season, but he did still play. He was indeed listed as Probable in the other 15 games and played in each one.

if a player misses any practice time, under the NFL injury report rules, that player must be listed on the injury report. Even if Brady "rests" his throwing arm, he's technically "missed" practice time. This whole battle with Belichick and the injury report goes back to a NE vs. ATL game a few years ago. Vick was listed as questionable, upgraded to probably, and then never even played (Schaub QB'd the team).Belichick felt the ATL purposely manipulated the injury report to force NE to prepare for both a Vick lead running offense and a Schaub led passing offense.More interesting than Brady being listed as "probable" for the millionth straigh week is Dillon not appearing on the report at all.

Brady had surgery for a sports hernia during the offseason. Not his shoulder. Vinny was in (as was Tommy Maddox a couple of weeks ago) as part of their normal process of identifying emergency replacements. This was not even a good fishing trip.

NFL news and injury reports are only available to FBG discussion board members?

No, I just meant that there is a possibility that there are still some fantasy players out there who don't follow every bit of news. Or even follow the news very little. And if they happen to come across something they think is newsworthy, might post it here thinking it's "breaking" news. I don't know if that's what happened here, as I don't frequent the SP enough to know if this guy is a regular or not.I just meant to not jump all over the guy if he legitimately was unaware of the Tom Brady injury report joke. There are people who play FF but not as hard-core as others, and don't pay attention to such things.

:goodposting: But still, no matter what kind of problem BB has with the system, he should be protesting it a different way. I wash there was something the league could do about his abuse of it. Well, maybe abuse is too harsh a word. Maybe misuse. Either way, IMO it seems like a case of BB thinking he's above the system.

Read up on the history of it and you will see that BB is still p!ssed off about a couple of other incidents where the other team lied on the injury report with no action taken (guys with broken legs not listed) and when BB had something that was questionable (Seymour listed as probable, but did not make the trip to Denver), he was fined. He said that he would follow the letter of the law on the injury reports, which is what he is doing.
