Tomlinson Love (1 Viewer)

Speaking of local announcers fawning over players, I found the Seahawks feed to be really annoying. I was listening to the Seattle-San Diego game and the Seahawks announcers kept calling all of the Seattle skill position players by their first name only.

"Matt is under center. Matty has the snap and hands to Shaun. Shaun picks up a nice gain on the right side."

"Matt is back in the pocket and throws incomplete to Jerramy."

Do they always do this?

I listened to this for one drive and the first name-basis went on for the entire time. It irritated me enough to switch to the Chargers feed. I understand occasionally using the first name, especially for players with unique first names, but this went on for several plays in a row.
