Because I have Shockey and a LB from Atlanta, I will watch, but I gotta tell you if I was heading ESPN I'd put on old episodes of "AWA Superstars of Wrestling" from 1987 before airing this game. The underachieving Giants vs the self imploding Falcons.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm glad the league has made a move towards making TV schedules friendly for viewers with flex games. It was criminal that the Cowboys vs Pats game was on at 4pm yesterday. That should have been in primetime.

ahh crap, sorry gang...I thought I was still in the Free For All. This has zero to do with fantasy in terms of real content. I was surfing both forums. Apologies....

Burress continues to go up against very lame secondaries and put up big numbers.

I need to revisit the whole "strength of schedule" component of my drafting strategy.

Good working turning this back into a relevant thread.

So 2 weeks ago Shockey said he had trouble seeing himself returning to what he was a couple years ago....was that weird reverse psychology in trying to get the ball more or what? I do question why Eli seems to target Plax and only Plax all the time. On replays I see Shockey wide open and want to throw rocks at my TV.

Were you guys aware that Michael Vick was involved in some legal problems this off-season?

It's true! Tune in tonight, I have a feeling ESPN may mention the story in passing once or twice.

Crap, I completely forgot about them beating that horse to death for the umpteenth time.At least it's not McGuire and Theisman.

I can't believe the Cowboys-Pats game wasn't in primetime... what a waste!!! I have no one in tonight's game? What a relief.

I read posts last week that thought the Dallas - Buff. game was a joke for a Monday night game. You never know.

why wouldn't the NFL put Dallas/NE on tonight?
The MNF schedule is set months ahead of time. All these prime time matchups were set thinking that Vick would be at the helm. This could actually be a decent game to watch. Of course it is for me as a homer, but the Falcons have been in every game til the 4th quarter, and should've won most of them if they could just find the end zone. Hoping Norwood has his coming out party tonight, but I've been hoping for that for awhile now. At the very least, should be some good defensive football.

I need at least 100 combined yards and 1-TD from W.Dunn tonight to win.

That is the ONLY reason I will be watching this POS game. I have a strong feeling I'm going to be disapointed tonight.

This is true, but they need to be more flexible and have a couple of options. New Orleans and Seattle sucked rocks too. The only think exciting about it was the fact that the Saints got one in the win column. Reggie lovers and haters liked seeing it on prime time, but it was really a bad game. I would much rather have had the GB/WAS or Bears/Vikes game as one of the prime time games and the boys and pats as the other. I will say this. Gotta give the schedule makers props for not putting the Rams in any prime time games. Who wants to watch that? I was just giddy that yesterday since the lambs were on the road they were able to show a game on CBS during the same time slot. Too bad it was Cinci/KC....But still, it's better than any Rams game at this point....I heard a local radio station was having a contest and the first prize was a pair of season tickets to the Rams. Second prize was 4 season tickets to the Rams....Ba-da-Bump!! I'll be here all week. Try the veal...

I'd rather watch Nick Bockwinkel in action than more rehashing of the Michael Vick garbage.Unless Vick gets sentenced to the public hanging that he deserves, I don't want to hear his name or see his face on my TV.

does anyone just watch football because its football--i love Fantasy football but it seems like for a lot of people it has taken the love out of just watching a reg game with no implications--either fantasy or betting or home team.

I've been to that point for a couple of years now. I cant watch a game unless i have fantasy players to root for. I think thats why i hate college football.

I'm looking forward to the game tonight. The Giants are pretty explosive on O. I want to see if Harrington is getting any protection or just holding the ball too long. I want to see Brandon Jacobs with my own eyes. I want to see Ward with my own eyes. I want to drink beer with my buddies and talk about stupid stuff while the game is on. I want to see if any of the Atlanta WR's are worthy of my roster this year or next. Just because two seemingly crappy teams are playing doesn't mean it's going to be a bad football game. I used to love the Bengals/Browns games when the Browns were awarded the franchise again and the Bengals were terrible. Those were two horrible teams but I loved those games....

That's funny because in the last couple of years I have become more and more of a rabid college football fan. I used to only really care about Notre Dame  but now if it's a good matchup I'm watching. I can't get enough.

You could also come up with a drinking game based on how Atlanta will screw up the current trip to the red zone.Fumble - 1 drinkInterception - 1 drinkMissed field goal - 2 drinksPick 6 - drain the glass

they need more flexibility with the Sunday and Monday night games. i think most NFL fans(as well as NE/Dall fans) would be jacked to see NE/Dall tonight

You can't switch days. You can switch times. They get police, fire, medical staff booked for OT well in advance and pay them for a full day. You can't just switch those people's schedules and leave emergency services vacant in other areas of the city. Not to mention food and other perishables delivery dates would be shot too.

did you watch the Viking game? They were never in it.

Who wasn't in it? The Vikes? They won it which implies they were in it. The Bears? They lost on a FG with no time on the clock. Thus they were in it as well. I don't care if it's a late come back, if a team is tied with 90 seconds left in the game, both are in the game. Saying they weren't in it because they didn't score till late is akin to saying, "his YPC would be a lot lower if you throw out that long run he had." Scoring is scoring no matter when it happens....

It was 10-3 with 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Then you got the AD run, and the second pick 6, and it was over.

A little blurb from Pat Kirwan's column for those looking for more carries from Norwood:

There are a few at Flowery Branch who are starting to think it may be time to switch the touches for the top two running backs. Dunn is getting 18 touches while Jerious Norwood is averaging nine touches. A game like this should tip the scales to Norwood.

I think if you played the drinking game tonight based on how many times espn mentions vick, you would be hammered before the half. these guys dig up the dead horses to beat them again.

At least I can understand this game. Prior to the season, Vick was part of the Falcons and the Giants were suppose to be good and contenders. Now go back a week. Who in the hell decided to put the Bills on MNF??? Might as well schedule a Lions versus Cardinals game while they're at it.

College ball is way more fun to watch than the NFL is. I hadnt watched NFL in 10 years prior to joining FF. No FF = NO NFL.

CBS and their multi-billion dollar contract probably wouldn't be happy. About 90% of the country got that game, with the exception of SoCal, can't complain the game didn't get enough exposure.I'd much rather have had the game at 4:15 yesterday instead of being up til 1AM watching this game, plus the Sox/Indians are on now anyways.
