Tony Scheffler going forward... (1 Viewer)

Scheffler reappeared from the dead in a big way this week. He was nonexistant early in the year after offseason injury and the involvement of Graham. He finished last year on fire though, so expectations were high for this one, as he and Cutler had developed nice chemistry together. So, what do you think of him going forward? More of this week's performance? More of a bust than anything? Or somewhere in between, (ie good weeks like this one, followed by weeks of disappearing)?

I'm thinking he could be pretty valuable in the second half, especially with Walker out for a while. Cutler sure likes him.

I think Scheffler's injury in preseason was worse than advertised. It did give the team time to convince themselves that Graham isn't a reliable receiving TE, but I also think it disguised the team's genuine interest in Scheffler going forward. As a guy who drafted him high in a dynasty startup, I must say it's been a nervous six weeks or so though.

I love his value and figure he's pretty easily a top 10 TE going forward.

Any updates from the Broncos on Tony Scheffler today. The Rat commented on Henry's ribs, saying that they were not broken and things would be taken day by day. Haven't seen anything on the TE though.

I haven seen any updates on Schefflers Injury, but considering how hard it seems to be to find a reliable TE2 I would definitely pick him up :goodposting:

Boom, especially with Walker out. They have some serious chemistry going and if you own him, from her on out he probably should be top 10 TE.

He looked very good last night but I was flipping channels so I didn't catch the entire game. He had a TD but the yardage wasn't there for an elite TE. Cutler was definitely keying on Scheff and Stokely when I was watching. I would really like to know his injury status before I drop Davis and spend $$ for him. Anyone find targets and what Denver did with their redzone opportunities from last nights game yet?

(my circumstances: 10 team $$$$$$$$ re-draft, must start one TE, flex consists of RB&WR only. each WW transaction costs real money and my starter is Witten. Back up is SF TE Davis)

Picked him up as a bye week fill in for Winslow, should i hold onto him instead of picking up Chiris Henry coming off suspension?

How much info do you think Shanahan will give when it comes to injuries?

I hate having injuried players who are under this guy.

That foot was worse than they let on.He was healthy for the first time last week.I love his up side if he can stay

healthy,I drafted him in all my dynasty leagues.

Said that Scheffler “is still a little bit sore” after limping off the field late in the game, and that he will know more about the second-year tight end’s status on Wednesday.

Its no secret Cutler and the Shef, have a great chemistry that started as rookies in the 2nd team offense.

Expect ALOT more love his way than Graham was getting.

I'd put him in line with Olsen as far as stats from here on out.

(Rotoworld) Tony Scheffler suffered a sprained left ankle on the Broncos' final drive Sunday night.Impact: X-rays were negative and he's expected to practice later this week. Scheffler played well Sunday and could be a sleeper in the second half if he can remain healthy.

I picked up vernon davis who is playing against new orleans, due to witten being on a bye. Do you guys like him higher than Davis this week?

Scheffler was on local radio (AM 950) @ 3pm today and at the very end of the inverview they asked about him limping off the field (re: foot).

Scheffler replied it was actually a 'tweaked knee' - not the injured foot, and he was doing fine. No comment about the upcoming game, etc. Though he didn't seem too worried about it.

I heard this on the radio, so please do not ask me for a :goodposting:

I have Davis and to be honest with you - he has pretty much been worthless so far. He did get open over the middle last Sunday and Dilfer over shot him by 5 feet. It would have been good for at least 20 yds. I'm not even sure he gets better when Smith returns since he didn't do much before he got hurt with Smith playing.I'm seriously thinking of dropping him for either Scheffler or Lee.
