that's an awesome list, thx for doing it --- but I was wondering about the sourcing.is this all definite, or guesses?I used to follow this pretty closely last year, but have taken the offseason off, so I haven't paid all that much attention.for example, the bears always seem to have a murky situation at the kr position, and I vaguely recall manning being injured --- does manning definitely have that job back?I'd have similar questions about philly, etc.again, I'm just posting for clarification, not to pee on the effort.

I'd only draft Manning for his IDP production. I think Knox and Aromatherapy close the gap and end up starting and Hester starts seeing more slot and return work. Not that Chicago would copy anything than Minny does.

I don't buy that Manning is the starting SS. The starting FS yes; but I think he will lose some kick returns to Knox.
They have Chris Harris formerly of the Carolina Panthers on roster, and he's a very good safety. And yes, the reps have indeed been going to Chris Harris for FS, and Daniel Manning at SS.

Seattle vs. Green Bay

KR:

Josh Wilson, 2 for 74 yards, 54 long

PR:

Will Blackmon, 1 for 12

Golden Tate fielded the lone punt return for Seattle

Leon Washington got work as RB for the Seahawks but didn't return any kicks. Perhaps they're going to keep it that way? If so, Josh Wilson might be IDP gold again in return leagues

Dallas vs. San Diego

AOA had 4 KR for 72 yards, and 1 PR for 3 yards. Very underwhelming.

Oakland vs. Chicago, Danieal Manning got a kick return, but so did 3 others. No IDPs of interest returned for Oakland

NYJ vs. Panthers, Jim Leonhard returned a pair of punts and got into the action defensively with 2 solos and a sack. Might be worth monitoring

Baltimore vs. Washington, Zbikowski had 2 punt returns and had a good bit of defensive work.

Philly vs. Bengals, Quinton Demps had 2 KRs and was very active defensively. Quan Cosby got a little bit of defensive work to go alongside some horrible PR and a single KR (41 yards on the return). Might be an outsiders

Buffalo vs. Colts - huge news here, Leodis McKelvin returned a pair of kicks and played a bit of defense. Roscoe Parrish returned a pair of punts but he was terrible. Another situation that might pan out beautifully for those dynasty folk who held out last season after McKelvin went down

Ellis Hobbs said he expects to return kickoffs once the regular season starts.

Hobbs, who is coming off neck surgery, hasn't been returning kicks in the exhibition games but has looked sharp as a starting corner. We'll see if coach Andy Reid puts his thin secondary in harm's way by using Hobbs as his primary kick returner. Quintin Demps is also a candidate if he makes the team.

Any more word on Josh Wilson?

Wait for preseason game #3 :goodposting:If you had to draft/auction right now, I would say it's probably 70-30 Wilson is the full-time KR, but that's pure speculation. I've owned him for the past couple of seasons. Ironically, in the past, the bigger question for Wilson was whether he was capable enough on defense to be starting. I'd be interested to know what the latest is on his defensive abilities. It does look like he has the CB spot secured, though.

Yeah, I have read where he has CB spot secured too. He is in FA in my league. I might go get him. We count return yards.

The Vikings are expected to look at RBs Darius Reynaud and Albert Young and CBs Asher Allen and Marcus Sherels as alternatives to Percy Harvin on kickoff returns.

Coach Josh McDaniels is now open to using rookie CB Perrish Cox on returns to free up Eddie Royal for receiving duties.

I know Cox started in place of Champ the other night, does anybody know what his role on defense will be?
My guess is that he'll be battling Alphonso Smith for the nickel duties. I believe the corners are set with Champ and Goodman. Cox did have a nice 65 yard punt return that almost went for a score - http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlig...ard-punt-return

I think Cox should be the return guy in Denver. He was really good at it in college

Javier Arenas looked great again as a returnman, but his defensive stats were lacking tonight. 1 Ast. Tkl.
yeah, and I think mccluster mooched up a couple.josh wilson returned a kick, but they had golden tate and somebody else returning, too.anybody have any insight on wilson's battle for the starting cb spot?mckelvin over florence?

Any chance Pacman is rosterable now that he's won KR duties? Footballguys has him pretty low on the depth chart at the moment, any body have guesses on how much field time he'll see at corner?

Coach Reid confirmed yesterday that he intends on Hobbs returning kicks and Jackson returning Punts in the regular season.

Any word on McKelvin? Saw in the box score he returned a couple of kicks vs. the Bengals in Week 3. Has there been any indication he's going to be the primary kick returner? If so, he could be IDP gold.ETA: Nevermind . . . looking at Bills depth charts it appears he has lost the starting job to Florence. Homers care to confirm? If he's not racking up some tackles as well then this is a moot point.

I'd be interested in hearing this as well. I thought McKelvin was a sure starter at CB

I assumed that after two years in the league a high pick like McKelvin would get the chance to show his worth, but I looked at depth charts on several sites and it has him as second string CB. Of course, I'd appreciate homers who have watched the preseason and paid attention to training camp to chime in and confirm.

i just looked on a bills message board (http://boards.buffalobills.com/showthread.php?t=282535) and someone actually had a poll up McKelvin or Florence and it was 57-10 in favor of McKelvin... Sounds like it is an issue of experience vs. youth/coming back from injury. Most thought McKelvin would be good in the more man-to-man style the Bills want their corners to play.

Does anybody have any news on the possibility of Devin McCourty returning kicks? I know Tate had a big return the other night...

I'm not saying florence won't start, but I don't think preseason depth charts mean a whole lot.
From what I've heard, and it makes sense, McKelvin is expected to take over the starting role when he's all the way back from the injury. Figure by then though, Spiller could be taking away much of the return game while Fred Jackson and Lynch return. All things to keep an eye on.

Good luck reading Belichick's tea leaves. McCourty is in line with a few others for return duty, but I wouldn't feel comfortable relying on him yet.

Ravens acquired CB Josh Wilson from the Seahawks in exchange for a conditional fifth-round draft pick.

The 2007 second-rounder is best suited to a nickelback role, but he could end up starting for Baltimore early in the season with Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb both returning from ACL surgery. Wilson did start the Seahawks' first preseason game, but he wasn't in Seattle's long-term plans.
What does this mean for fantasy value? Will he return kicks in BAL?

Hobbs is assured a starting job at CB and Kick return duties I would definitely pick up Hobbs.

And will he start at CB? They already have Washington, Carr, and Webb.

With Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb both returning from ACL surgery its likely that he will start early in the season, after they return its probable that he would be the nickel back.
