***Top 10 UNDER-rated List for 2008*** (1 Viewer)

anyone else think that Leinart deserves a mention here? With two stud WRs and a strong likelihood of getting the job back, I have him as a QB2 with huge upside.
except for the fact that he sucks.

Marion Barber III. He'll slide a little bit because of Julius Jones but he'll put up solid RB2 numbers.
Jones is a FA and probably won't be with the Boys next year. Expect people to overpay for Barber if he's with the Boys in 08 (RFA).

Owen Daniels is quickly becoming a top 5 TE.

Anthony Gonzalez

Chester Taylor ( to be traded?)

Julius Jones - will start elsewhere in 2008..

Marion Barber

Kolb

Santonio Holmes, 3rd year WR..

Earnest Graham

Fred Jackson - he looks very good so far, maybe Buffalo uses him as trade bait? Lynchs running style will leave him prone to big hits in the NFL, and, he's facing a possible sophomore jinx. MAybe Jackson has value in Buffalo as a Michael Turner type high quality backup?

Fred Taylor - MJD=highly overrated change of pace back, one-year wonder, or did he hit a sophomore jinx?!

Greg Jennings

Chris Cooley

Jason Campbell

Sinorice Moss - has seen a lot of targets, Toomer is OLD, Plax is always hurt.they will need another WR to step up..he's really still just a rookie, since he sat out almost all of 2006..2008 might be his year.

I've seen some people put Lee Evans on their list, and thats easy to do , unless you've actually had him on your team. I doubt anyone who drafted him this year, will ever draft him again. I know I won't.lol

T. Edwards looks pretty good,too..but then again, so did Losman towards the end of 2006, didn't he?

:goodposting:

that might be more than 10..

I know exactly how my friends will draft next year.

1. Tom Brady

2. Ladainain Tomlinson

3. Adrian Peterson

4. Randy Moss

5. Joseph Addai

6. Peyton Manning

Which Leaves Steven Jackson, and Brian Westbrook as steals in the First Round.

Steals of Next Years Draft.

QBs

Marc Bulger. Gets Orlando Pace back at LT next season and the way things are shaping up Jake Long at RT out of Michigan.

Jake Delhomme.

Matt Leinart. Stud WR's should be a nice QB2/ Matchup/ Bye Week Replacement.

RBs

Brian Westrbook. Steal of the later first round with Brady/Moss sneaking ahead of him.

Steven Jackson. Steal of the later first round with Brady/Moss sneaking ahead of him. Return of Pace + possibly Jake Long.

Willie Paker. I believe Davenport is a FA?

Frank Gore. Grabbing him in the second round could be a steal. (Imagine a Jackson/Gore backfield)

MJD. He will definatley drop to the 3rd or 4th round in my league. I see the Jags getting him a larger workload next season as Freddy ages another year.

Rudi Johnson. Injury + The Loss of Willie Anderson has made his season a bust. Next season he returns to 1200/10 TDs.

Kevin Jones. Has the talent and its hard for teams to stack the box with his WR's. If Martz is gone next year KJ will be a steal.

Michael Turner. Depending on where he lands.

WRs

Roy Williams. CBS mock draft has him as the 13th WR taken. Healthy = top 7 WR.

Steve Smith. CBS mock draft has him as the 11th WR taken. If Delhomme returns, he'll be top 7 WR.

DJ Hackett. He is Hasselbecks guy when healthy. Stats will look bad to owners next year letting him fall.

Santonio Homles. Again will be taken after Hines Ward when he will outperform Ward next season.

Javon Walker. Stats will let him drop. The emergence of Marshall wont let teams double Walker. Culter another year under his belt.

Michael Bush. Do you really think Fargas is the future of Oakland?

Sidney Rice.

Donald Driver. Always finds himself in the top 15 every year. 23 WR's taken so far in the CBS draft and still no Driver.

TEs

Alge Crumpler. Rookie QB whether it be Brohom or Ryan will lean towards his TE as saftey valve.

Vernon Davis. Another down year should bounce back next season.

Greg Olsen.

QB

Vince Young

RB

Travis Henry

Jerious Norwood

DeAngelo Williams - didn't notice if anyone has mentioned him, a lot may change in Carolina this offseason

Ladell Betts - If he stays in WAS and Portis leaves

Portis - If he leaves WAS

Leon Washington

WR (drafting WRs late will be easier this year)

Steve Smith

Chad Johnson

Dwayne Bowe

Anquan Boldin

Santana Moss

Mark Clayton

Darrell Jackson

Marvin Harrison

TE

Scheffler

Todd Heap

I think Parker is going to comeback huge, also most of the RBs that went through a sophomore slump will probably rebound. I expect MJD and Reggie Bush to have better years next year. I also expect Eli Manning to have a great year next year. Don't ask me why...

iv'e only seen michael turner's name once so far, so ill make it two. if hes startin then im buyin, dont care what city either. he'll go cheap in one of my leagues......

I could see "Chad Johnson isn't even the Bengals #1 WR anymore" being one of those nuggets next year.
Actually it was the nugget I gave out prior to the start of this year along with Wayne both being top five finishers in ppr.

It's comments like this that lead me to believe he will be over-valued. People have been waiting on M. Turner for two plus years.

Portis - If he leaves WAS
And if he stays? People still won't touch him until late 2nd, early 3rd at the earliest. I nabbed him in 3rd rounds of every draft I had. For some reason, people hate CP.
If he's around in the 3rd in most leagues next year, I'll be surprised. One per position:QB - VYRB - Portis (could have gone with FWP or Bush) WR - JWalkerTE - Gonzo (with him, it's not that people don't know him, they are just more likely to take the young guns, knocking Gonzo down to #5 or lower, thus making him a value)

I see a lot of people listing Bush. He was draft in the top half of the first round this year and likely will be again next year. What have you seen that will propel him to being an elite type of back that will push LT in ff points?

:goodposting: I feel the same way about Bush. Outside of PPR leagues, this guy can't be counted on for typical 100-yard games that most good RBs can provide. That's not him and I think we're beginning to realize that. What's worse is the Saints are realizing it too. Some of you are saying Jake Delhomme and thus Steve Smith, but are we even sure that Delhomme will be 100% ready to go by week one of the 2008 season? Some reports say he may not be fully healtyh til mid-season. That's still a little cause for concern for me.

The most underrated will be stud players coming off of injuries. They usually slip in the drafts. Players like

Bulger, Delhomme, Boldin, Harrison, Walker, S Jackson, Rudi Johnson.

I will be targeting these players in 2008.

Couple of others that will be undervalued are S Smith and Driver. I feel that Jennings will be overvalued next year......leaving Driver to have good value. Some will be gunshy of Smith since his value is tied to Delhomme being healthy.......you can get Smith a round or 2 later in 2008.

Just my initial thoughts.

QBs

Carson Palmer

Marc Bulger

Drew Brees

RBs

Steven Jackson

Larry Johnson

Michael Turner

Thomas Jones

WRs

Steve Smith

Lee Evans

Javon Walker

Santonio Holmes (injuries, some inconsistency)

Laveraneous Coles

Andre Johnson

Anquan Boldin

Marvin Harrison

DJ Hackett

QB

Schaub- As long as he's throwing to Johnson, he has big number potential. If they get him some O-line protection in the off-season, sky's the limit.

Hasselbeck- Typically always listed outside the top 5, but with the questions at RB, this will be a ARI-like throwing team next year (unless they switch coaches).

Garrard- Still isn't flashy enough to be considered a high pick, but if your league penalizes turnovers, he's a reliable QB to turn to.

RB

Norwood- should at least get a good look next year on an offense that will still be considered "in flux".

Sammy Morris- assuming he stays with NE, I see him pushing Maroney in preseason. Could be a Marion Barber III-type bargain.

Edge- deep down, Whisenhunt probably still would like to be a running team; if they get healthy, I could see him bouncing back to early 2007 stats.

WR

Demetrius Williams- spent most of this year injured on a team geared around the dump off pass when his strength is stretching the field. Change of QB+possible change of coach/philosophy could make him a steal in his 3rd year.

Marshall- already seems to be the next Javon Walker in DEN. Walker will probably go before him in drafts.

Kevin Curtis- assuming McNabb leaves, Curtis has the speed to get behind DBs- if he can get a home run QB, he's $$$.

My entire dynasty team has made this thread-

Bulger

Delhomme

Rivers

Graham

Rudi

Travis Henry

Fred Taylor

Steve Smith

Javon Walker

Santonio Holmes

DJ Hackett

Ted Ginn

Reggie Williams

Marion Barber III. He'll slide a little bit because of Julius Jones but he'll put up solid RB2 numbers.I was one of the few people that watched Atlanta play Monday night and I liked what I saw from Laurent Robinson. If the Falcolns can get a decent QB Robinson could be the 2008 version of Brandon Marshall.
Julius Jones is a FA

Portis - If he leaves WAS

Good for you. If he stays in WAS he'll probably put up similar stats and thus will be drafted where he should be. What's underrated about that?
How is being a 3rd round pick NOT being underrated when you are amongst top 10 in any scoring format? Essentially, he is about the 20-25th RB off the board.

Santanio Holmes with his late injury.

Bernard Berrian may or may not be in Chicago - I know that receiver changing teams have not helped WR historically but how can it hurt? He is in Chicago :pickle:

Seattle rookie RB that takes Alexander's job.

Tennesee rookie RB that steals White's and Henry's job.
