I find that list... Um, it's just kind of...I don't like it at all!!BnB -- Murrell from App St., #98 should be top 15 on any list, top ten on mine.
Ill ask him why Murrell is so low whenever we interview him on Wednesday. What else about the list bothers you?
On Murrell, I think it's only reasonable to use Jason Hunter as the measuring stick. They were twins. Murrell's numbers were a little better and he is younger. Hunter appears to be a nice find in GB and played at a high level late last season. I cannot fathom Murrell being #98 on a list of small schoolers and I expect him and Hunter have decent NFL careers. I could be completely missing something here so I'll pay attention to his response. I realize Hunter was UDFA last year. This draft just ain't that deep. It'll be interesting for Adrian's kid anyway. On the rest, I think the 1a receivers are being underestimated and now I think the small schoolers are too. This is the craziest batch of receivers in memory. It seems to me that Jacoby, Ball and Laurent are the top three NFL prospects among all small schoolers. They all have a real chance to make teams and have an impact. Mo Price should also get a little more respect, imo. Then... well, it's nitpicking, it's a long list of nits and it probably isn't worth troubling over. BUT...

We're talking NFL hopefuls. I think we can all agree that Race and Whitlock are longshots to stick in the NFL, but those of us who have watched both also feel there still exists a chance for both. There's just tons of names with no chance whatsoever ahead of both. Does he really think Tyler Thigpen, the QB out of Coastal Carolina has a better shot than Whitlock? It doesn't look good for either, but surely Arkee has the better chance and thus deserves a higher ranking. See my point? I could go on and on with dozens of examples, but... is it worth the trouble? Prolly not. I sure don't envy Josh for taking on this job, and his passion for the small schoolers is a great thing, so nitpicking his efforts is a bit petty, but... I do think he could rank them by NFL opportunity a little better.
