With the recent crushing news to Nicks owners (I am one of them), it’s time to re-evaluate the top 20 WR’s going forward in redraft.

So here is my top 20.

1. Roddy White

2. Calvin Johnson

3. Andre Johnson

4. Greg Jennings

5. Reggie Wayne

6. Larry Fitzgerald

7. DeSean Jackson

8. Brandon Lloyd

9. Terrell Owens

10. Dez Bryant

11. Steve Johnson

12. Anquon Boldin

13. Jeremy Maclin

14. Mike Williams (Tampa)

15. Marques Colston

16. Mike Thomas

17. Mike Wallace

18. Miles Austin

19. Santana Moss

20. Dwayne Bowe

Brandon Lloyd and Steve Johnson should be higher up. Lloyd because he continues to put up numbers and Johnson because that team is going to have to throw 45x a game.

frankly, I think Nate Washington belongs on that list, at least until Britt's hamstring gets better. Collins is more of a pure passer than VY, great complementary running game, and Randy Moss ensures single coverage. Whats not to like?

What does Bowe have to do to get any love around here?

I think Vincent Jackson should be in the top 20 going forward. He's ready to blow up.

I think you bump down TB Mike Williams, Wayne, Mike Thomas, Boldin, TO and bump up Bowe, add in Mario, VJax. I like the list overall...but here's my take:

NOTE: top 10 WR friendly DEF over last 5 weeks, PPR scoring, per FFToday:

WAS, JAX, HOU, DAL, ATL, NYJ, SEA, ARI, NE, PIT

Roddy WhiteGBP @TBB @CAR @SEA NOS

Every week get your 6/80 or your 150 yards and 2 TDs.

Calvin Johnson NEP CHI GBP @TBB @MIA

Really getting hot. Always gets his, even if Testaverde was throwing to him and even if in junk time. DET will be throwing alot.

Andre JohnsonTEN @PHI BAL @TEN @DEN

He has had some down games due to HOU running so much, but I will bench him only once this year (vs. Reevis).

Greg Jennings@ATL SFO @DET @NEP NYG

No Finley (or reliable TE) and gimpy Driver makes him the man. No fewer than 6 catches since Finley went out. Might argue he is above Andre and even Calvin due to QB + situation.

Larry FitzgeraldSFO STL DEN @CAR DAL

Good for 7/70/0.5 TD each week. Not going to win you your league alone, but is rock steady WR2.

DeSean Jackson@CHI HOU @DAL @NYG MIN

speed kills, and so does a QB that can extend the play.

Brandon LloydSTL @KCC @ARI @OAK HOU

He's good as long as DEN is trying to win games. I would not be trading for him though, as I smell Teebow.

Dwayne Bowe@SEA DEN @SDC @STL TEN

Hottest WR in the last 6 weeks? Has to scare you with those 3/10/2 TD lines, but you'll take them. Developing well with Cassel. Matchups are going to be harder, but just means more throws. He and Cassel have found a groove. Also, he's all Cassel throws at since about week 5 (except that Cassel might throw 20 times a game max).

Mike Wallace @BUF @BAL CIN NYJ CAR

Ben is hot since returning. H. Ward is fading. Wallace is feast or famine in the vein of DeSean, but more often than not, it's a good thing.

Steve JohnsonPIT @MIN CLE @MIA NEP

His schedule turns harder, but that just means IvyFitz going to keep chucking it at him. PPR beast in Chan's pass-friendly offense that throws 40+ times/game.

Reggie Wayne SDC DAL @TEN JAC @OAK

With all the WR coming back, I think he might have periodic very good games, but is not going to blow up. Very consistent. He feels like he has slightly more upside than Fitzpatrick. At least he's playing thru week 16.

Dez Bryant NOS @IND PHI WAS @ARI

He is the #1 in Dallas. Young and making some errors, but just a beast. Kitna is playing with house money and loves the WR he developed rapport with in the pre-season with 2nd team. He will be 'all that' in future years, and is already 'alot of that' this year.

Jeremy Maclin@CHI HOU @DAL @NYG MIN

He's getting alot more targets/catches to go with his TDs. PHI can be insane as much as they pass. As with DeSean, speed kills.

Marques Colston@DAL @CIN STL @BAL @ATL

NO is getting hot, but he's still not super consistent with Brees spreading it around. He still should be in lineups waiting for the big games.

Mario ManninghamJAC WAS @MIN PHI @GBP

I put Mario in here until H.Nicks and S.Smith are back on the field, which might not be 'til the Fantasy Playoffs. Prob going to get 10-15 targets for a couple of weeks.

Miles Austin NOS @IND PHI WAS @ARI

The #2 in DAL now, but hard to argue his talent.

Terrell Owens @NYJ NOS @PIT CLE SDC

He's been a monster, esp when CIN plays from behind. Palmer looks terrible; 85 might whine for more targets; CIN ready to implode, esp with tough schedule coming up. I'd play him as a WR2-3.

Mike Williams (Tampa) @BAL ATL @WAS DET SEA

Good, but TB is not a pass-first team. I love Freeman, but his best passing games seem to be less than 200 yards.

Santana Moss MIN @NYG TBB @DAL @JAC

PPR consistency, but WAS is Jeckyl and Hyde. Very few multi-TD games for McNabb this year.

Anquon BoldinTBB PIT @HOU NOS @CLE

He's holding here in the top 20 only b/c he's on a solid offense, but he has been fading. Maybe more running for BAL as it turns cold?

Mike Thomas@NYG @TEN OAK @IND WAS

I like him alot, he's been the #1 all season and the stats are starting to show it. But can you play him on the road? His big game week 10 was due to the 50 yard Hail Mary.

V. Jackson@IND OAK KCC SFO @CIN

Not sure where to put him, but I would not be surprised to see him in the top 5-10 in 3 weeks.

Very :goodposting: Excellent work, I am humbled by your extensive analysis. I also discounted VJax probably because of the unknown, but he could easily be top 10. Your post definitely deserves to be bumped.

No Santonio Holmes?
:goodposting: This is the one name I came up with as well. He appears to have great chemistry with Sanchez and has been lights out the past three weeks. No reason why he shouldn't continue to put up good numbers.

No Santonio Holmes?
Believe it or not, I had Holmes at #21, but I could see him a little lower than that. Just not convinced that Edwards doesn't have alternating big weeks with Holmes to trust starting Holmes week to week as much as the other guys. Perhaps its a measure of relative confidence level.

I grant that it's hard to be sure where to place him on a list like this because we don't know for sure how he will be used right out of the gate, but I wouldn't be at ALL surprised to see VJax as the #1 guy over the next 6 weeks. He's the clear #1 receiver on the best passing team in the NFL. Gates could be very limited or even gone, meaning more RZ work for the receivers. He has one tough matchup (Oakland, in theory) for the rest of the season.

Overall, this seems like a fair list. And I like that you have Wallace over Bryant - they seem like the same guy FFB-wise to me, only Wallace produces more (it's kind of weird to see Bryant in people's top-10 when Wallace falls down near #20).

But that said, don't you think Fitzgerald is ranked very high at #5 when you call him a steady WR2? Probably falls down closer to #15.

Also, Andre Johnson has not performed well FFB-wise this year, and his continued top-5 rankings seem to be based on name value alone. I think realistically he should be closer to the bottom half of the top 10.

With the recent crushing news to Nicks owners (I am one of them), it’s time to re-evaluate the top 20 WR’s going forward in redraft. So here is my top 20. 1. Roddy White2. Calvin Johnson3. This is a nice list, but a list without Big Mike Williams is no list at all. In my mind, in ANY LEAGUE, no less a ppr league, Mike Williams needs to be in the top 10 or the list is invalidated. That's how good this kid is. Here is my list, if a draft was taking place today, this is my order:1) Calvin Johnson2) Roddy White3) Larry Fitz :excited: (he is back ladies)4) Desean Jackson5) Reggie Wayne6) Andre Johnson7) Dez Bryant8) Mike Williams (sea)9) Brandon Lloyd10) Dwayne Bowe11) Greg Jennings12) Austin Miles13) Terrel Owens14) Mike Wallace15) Mike Williams (Tampa)

Going forward for this year or going into next year? If its only for this year, unless you're just detering dynasty opinions, why would redraft matter?

Fitz barely makes the top 20, in my opinion. Also I would put Percy Harvin in the top 20.
Most ridiculous statement i've seen. There has been 1 week all year that i remember Fitz giving me less than double digit fantasy points. Consistency counts just as much as production. Not to mention that over the last 4 weeks or so he is catching 6-8 passes for 100 yards and a TD. Here are his catches and yards over the last 4 weeks: 6 rec for 72 yards and 2 TDs, 7 rec for 107 yards, 7 rec for 91 yards, 6 rec for 90 yards and 1 TD. The consistency and production, not to mention with a horrible team and QB, put him at the top of the stack. Fitz is as close to guaranteed as you can get to give you great production. Anyone who ranks this at #20 doesn't know what they are doing.
