Top 200 Forward (1 Viewer)

Team Smokin'

Footballguy
Is off in week 4 so far.

Jimmy Garoppolo is showing points and Baker Mayfield showing 0 points. I also noticed a lot of other indescrepencies. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I use it as a measuring tool with potential trades and waiver wire source.

Eh it’s only Tuesday. I don’t look at it till Wednesday at the earliest.

ETA: Full disclosure I don’t use waivers only add/drop. If it’s waivers it’s obvious  :P

It's all Week 3 data, showing under the Week 4 page.  None of the rankings are accurate.  It'll be updated by 1pm EST normally.

That's what I thought. So Footballguys no reason to highlight week 4 with week 3 material until week 4 is ready. Too confusing. Thanks

I do look over Top 200 Forward every week to get a gauge. It helps determining value of a player. Do I trade the Mixon owner a Hyde or Lynch? I know the minor knee surgery is a slight knock on Mixon. But I also own Gio. Footballguys had Lynch higher than Hyde last week and now the landscape changed a tad from a good game from Hyde on Thursday night. Lynch still plugging along and is a tad more TD dependent in my humble opinion. Always looking to improve my team. Will Hyde be more valuable then Mixon? Prolly not, but who knows?

The Top 200 Forward is a gauge and helps with my decision making process.

It's updated on the app, but it seems to need some tweaking. It needs to be based on if there was a NEW DRAFT tomorrow.

Keenan Allen is now WR13 rest of season, Landry (WR11) and Thielen (WR6) (who had 2 good garbage time weeks is now WR6)

Just seems to be all over the place.  If you have a bad week you fall a ton and a good week you jump up.

It's updated but I see some major issues.  I don't understand the discrepancy each week in the waiver wire reports and top 200.

Both waiver wire reports are showing Goedert as a significant upgrade, the top pick up of the week, and one you should spend 15-30% of your FAAB on.  It says he could be a top 5-8 TE if this continues.  Yet in the updated top 200 forward, he's listed by all staffers around TE22 Rest of Season.  What gives?  Thats a huge difference.

The MYFBG top 200 listing is always different from the desktop as well.  It hasn't been perfect for years and it's a very, very popular feature that needs fine tuning.

The problem might be that @Sigmund Bloom who writes the Waiver report highly values Goedert.  The Top 200 going forward I think is written by @David Dodds but Bloom and @Maurile Tremblay may also have their own list.may be one of them will clarify though but I thought that is how those reports were done.

I guess.  I thought Bloom released a top 200 too though in a few days, and you could look at his.  Would be surprised if he had Geodert tht high.  Just seems so inconsistent, I look at the custom waiver wire and it looks like he's the no brainer guy to pick up but then the other guys have him ranked so low ros.

So now @Sigmund Bloom's Top 200 Forward rankings have come out.  He has Goedert way down the list (below 5 other Free Agent TE's in my league), yet he is his top FA TE pickup of the week by far and suggesting 15-30%.  Sig, any chance you can explain why YOU have him ranked so HIGH in the pickups of the week but so LOW in your top 200 forward?  Doesn't make sense.

This should be a great tool but the rankings have been so bad for years that it can't be trusted. What it is great for is identifying available free agents in each of your leagues. You would think it should be fairly simply to create a list of each players value for the rest of the year but the top 200 has been way too inconsistent to rely on.

I'm still really confused by the VAST differences in the Top 200 Forward and the custom waiver wire report.  I'm aware that @Sigmund Bloom does the Wire report and that Top 200 is usually driven by @David Dodds and @Maurile Tremblay, but to have them THAT different makes either of them tough to use.

For example:  Tre'Quan Smith.  Bloom has him as the CLEAR top pickup this week, suggests spending 25-50% of your budget on him, and claims he "is worth a big price tag with the waiver wire".  Dodds has him as his 254th ranked player going forward rest of season.  He even has NINETEEN free agent WR's ranked AHEAD of smith ROS, which suggests he isn't even worth grabbing for FREE off waivers.  I realize different people have different projections, but for a guy like Smith, if one FBG Staff member is saying to blow your budget on him as he's the pick up of the week, shouldn't he at least be MENTIONED in the top 200 rather than buried way down the list which suggests he's not even worth an add in a deep league?

Love you guys and all that you do, just really would love some clearing up on this.

McWeak comment. He should absolutely be in the top 50 WR's moving forward.
I don't know what you're looking at, but the Top 200 I see has him at #30 for "Standard FBG Scoring" and #39 in PPR.  Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

ETA: Are you maybe looking at his ranking among all players and not just WR?
