I am wondering everyone thoughts on who will finish out the year as the top 5 rbs mine are

1-ray rice

2-mcfadden

3-fred jackson

4-adp

5-shady mccoy

I feel like not having foster or cj2k on there is possibly wrong but there just not performing great

Your title says rest of the year but your post says who will finish the year in the top 5, big difference. I don't think Fred Jackson will be top 5 the rest of the season but could very well finish in the top 5 for the year. Personally, I think he's been playing above his ceiling the first 6 weeks.

Forte? He IS the Bears offense. Consistently hitting ~150 yards a game combined rushing and receiving. If he starts to see the end zone, could be #1 overall.

That's exactly what I've been saying. He's played against terrible run defenses. The only good run defense he's faced was Cinci which he only had 65 yards. I think Jackson will will finish in the 14-18 range in backs, for the rest of the season.

I don't think there's any way a back getting 15-20 carries and 5 catches a game slips that low in PPR.

I would think you would pull out boht Fred Jackson and Adrian Peterson and put in Forte and Arian Foster. I could also see Ryan Mathews slipping in and McCoy possibly falling out.

Peterosn looks great but the team looks awful pulling his numbers down. His blocking seems to be worse than years past.

I don't believe Fred Jackson is as talented as his numbers have been year to date. I think he will fall back into the 10-15 range. Which is still higher than most projected him to be this year.

Wow Fred Jackson just can't get a break no matter what he does. That's exactly why I love the guy, by defying everyones opinion of him. He's a complete RB on a nice built Buffalo squad running and catching like a mad man.

Theres going to be a lot of people eating crow in this thread.

Don't see how you can take McCoy out of the top 5. Jackson Rice McFadden McCoy Forte in no order.

14-18 huh... Keep telling yourself that.

Rice, McCoy, McFadden, Matthews, McGahee(actually those are my RBs) :excited:
um, not worth it really but how did you get Rice, McCoy, McFadden, Nicks, Fitzgerald, and Romo?
Rice - 1st roundMcCoy - trade involving Finley McFadden - trade involving Marshall Nicks - 2nd roundFitz - trade involving Harvin, Starks, BurlesonRomo - 3rd round
you reached on Romo.
He will also be reaching for the SB trophy when they hand it him.

This post doesn't make sense. How does the #1 RB right now finish top 5 if he doesn't produce top 5 numbers for the rest of the year?

I won't be surprised to see Chris Johnson make the Top 5. Very favorable schedule down the stretch. Indianapolis twice, Buffalo, and Carolina are 3 of the bottom 4 rush defenses.

1-Peterson

2-Forte

3-Rice

4-Jackson

5-McCoy

these three are spitting distance:

Foster has the split or he'd be #4

Jackson is just on it no denying

McFadden will not benefit from QB switching but I'd still guess next at #6

Start warming up a nice big bowl of crow :)

I may be stretching but I like what I have seen out of Demarco Murray. Probably not top 5 the rest of the way but I will take him over some of the others listed here like Beenie or Battle

No particular order: Foster, Peterson, McCoy, Rice, Forte, FJax

Had to include 6 because I really think they all belong in the top tier.

Since week 4 Foster's been scoring about 25 ppg. I'd go with (in no particular order):Foster

McCoy

Peterson

Rice

Forte

Fjax still not getting credit, oh well cant wait to hear all the i told you so's come seasons end.

Considering this thread was made prior to this weekend, McCoy and ADP definitely have a nice start. Jackson as well, even though he missed the endzone this week.

I admittedly did not put a lot of thought into that and I've never had FJackson in any league so I may underestimate him. I know he's been exceptional so far this year, I just have a hard time leaving any of the other 5 off. But you're right, I probably don't give him enough credit.

Ya, exactly. It's like who do you take off in favour of him really?? Should just be a top 6 list.

no forte?
got him 6th only cuz he plays for the worst offense of the five ahead of him. this is a top 5 list. honestly its splitting hairs
Agreed. The top tier basically consists of 6 guys right now, so one of Forte and FJax is likely to be the odd man out if we're only allowed to choose 5. One would argue that FJax is more deserving of a top 5 spot than not only Forte, but perhaps a few others in the top 5, but it's really splitting hairs. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the top 6, and I think any one of them could easily finish the season as RB1.That's why I just expanded my list to 6...
