Top three quarterbacks in the NFL right niow? (1 Viewer)

That 4th one you have to exclude isn't easy.

2012 - drop Brady. Career - drop Brees.

Q was RIGHT NOW, so my answer is Brees, Peyton Manning, and Rodgers

W/R/T Manning and Brady, I have to say from a career outlook perspective it's looking (to me at least) like Matt Ryan is working his way into the conversation amongst Rodgers and Brees. Working his way there, not there just yet.

I think this season will tell us alot. Right now, Ryan's just a regular season stat generator. He's 8-1, and leading his offense. That's good for fantasy, but if he gets the playoff albatross off his back, I'd have a hard time having Brady or Manning over him going forward. Obviously not historically. I think it all depends on the playoff push this season. Else Ryan's just another McNabb to me if he can't get it done in January/February, which all of Rodgers/Brees/Brady/Manning have already done.

Brady has 18 passing tds, 2 rushing tds, and only 3 ints. Manning has a slightly higher completion percentage, and rodgers has slightly higher counting stats, but that td int ratio is sick. Remember, too, that brady tends to improve as the season goes on, especially considering hernandez has been gimpy, lloyd went the entire jets game dropping ball after ball after ball, and welker was given a time out for most of week 1.

Manning, Rodgers, Roethlisberger
There's a contrarian in every thread. :)
Honestly, I think you can't go wrong with any of the top 5, but Roeth needed some representation. He's been lights-out behind an atrocious line. Brees would be my fourth choice, but he's been turning it over too much, and I honestly feel he's probably part of the reason why NO isn't calling as many runs as they should be.

No particular order.

The Forehead, The Belt, The Mole...ok, Id put Brady there but could not think of any nickname for him so I chose Brees.

So really its

Manning, Rodgers, Brady for me.

The best Qb today, that is really tough. Who would I pick to win my SB this year with the sampling we've seen so far this year.

I think I'd take who I think is the best Qb of the era and's that's Peyton Manning. I just think he controls the game better than anyone and still looks like he has it. I can't argue too much against anyone that chooses Brady. The guy is awesome, not sure he's playing at the level he was a few years ago.

Rodgers is a stud, the guy I'd pick if we were talking about starting a franchise but in a close call, I'd take Peyton Manning.

Top 3 talent wise or Fantasy wise? Talent: Rodgers, Brees, ManningFantasy: Brees, Rodgers, Brady
There's more than just that when I think "the best"... I also think, who would I want on my team in clutch situations in the playoffs/SB? When it all comes down to it, in NFL terms that's really what a QB is recorded by anyway. So if the question were posed as who are the most talented QBs right now? I agree, Rodgers, Brees, Manning. If we are talking about who I'd want on my team that gave me the best shot at getting to the playoffs and winning the ship? Eli, Ben or Brady. They are the only active players with multiple Super Bowl wins, which to me provided that area of 'something special' that type of thing that just supersedes talent. They just know how to win. To put this in retrospect, their are only 11 QB's in history to win more than 1 SB. The only NFL QB in history to have multiple Super Bowl wins and not make the Hall of Fame is Jim Plunkett. The others are Brady, Ben and Eli all three are likely currently having their jackets made though.

Eli has been lucky! ( Catch off a helmut ) He is Goober & brother is Gomer (pyle head). As far as Plunket goes, Rod Martin should have been the MVP in that super bowl win. ( Yea, I went to high school with Rod Martin at Hamilton High in L.A. Same school that Warren Moon went to). Had to say it NIOW!

I think most of us would agree that the top 7, regardless of order, are easily:

Rodgers

Peyton

Brees

Brady

Eli (despite his struggles lately)

Ryan

Roethlisberger
