Torry Holt Owners (1 Viewer)

After all, I want my QB and WR to be playing from behind so being on a bad team isn't a problem. However the QB does need to be standing so he can make a play.
:mellow:Exactly. Doesn't matter WHEN the points come as long as they come. I have a standing trade offer of my Warner for his Holt that, if it still exists after their bye week, I may take. I am sold on the Rams from mid-season forward because it is hard for me to see the pass game sucking this bad ALL year long, even with a shoddy OL. And the beneficiaries of good passing against soft defenses in comeback efforts are Holt and, especially, SJax.

What do you think about Holt this week Marc?

I just don't get the Trent Green move.
Two words:Decision making. The Rams are hoping Green will make faster - and better - decisions throwing the ball than Bulger did. Plus, it shakes up the whole team when you make a QB change.Edit - to expand on this point - they may also believe that Bulger will benefit from watching from the sideline as a QB properly runs the offense.

Not good, I'm thinking Buffalo might knock Green out of the game.

Hate him - or I'd have pulled the trigger on the trade. Against Buffalo? I don't expect him to do much - maybe a late TD to save him.I like him mid-season forward, and no time before that. The team needs an easy defense for the offense to feel like they are in the flow, and they won't face one of those for another month.Plus, until the Dallas game, they are not facing teams that score in bunches. I expect SJax to start turning it around in the immediate and Holt to start turning it around no earlier than the Dallas game (when they are likely to be down by 20+ points by the middle of the third quarter).

Hate him
So you would agree his ranking this week is rather curious given the circumstances?

So what's the verdict with Holt owners this week? FBG still has him ranked as a solid WR2 so they clearly don't view Green as being a major detriment to Holt's production. What do the Holt owners here think? Are you starting him? If you're benching him, are you doing it for a lesser WR (benching Holt for someone like Greg Jennings or Santana Moss isn't a tough call)? How are Holt owners reacting to the change at QB and the matchup this week against a Bills' defense that has a strong statistical ranking but wasn't very imposing the last two games?
I'm starting him due to the fact that my #1 receiver is Colston and he's out. I also had Burleson as my backup, so had to drop him and pick up Royal ofDenver. This week will be Holt & Royal (we have very restrictive rosters).
