Trade Advice 2015 (1 Viewer)

I'd probably just keep Sale under those circumstances. Carrasco and Pineda both have #2 upside, but they are both wildcards from start to start. Sale is a top 5 pitcher, if he stays healthy he's gonna be top 3-10 for a few years at least.

I made an interesting trade in my home league this week. I sent $1 Andrew Heaney and $1 JP Crawford for $28 Nelson Cruz. I'm in 4th now and the top two teams are gonna be tough to catch, but in a 12 player keeper I thought it was prudent. Plus we have weekly winners and 3rd place gets $100+. Now I have $1 Correa and was offered Bautista and King Felix (both big/unkeepable contracts) and I said no. I think that is somewhat similar to the trade you are looking at here.

It sucks being 6-8 in a keeper league. Its like being un limbo, I cant make trades for keepers either cuz I hate throwing in the towel especially when Im currently holding down the last spot.

Current keepers for next year. $18 keeper budget, price increase $2 every year they are kept.

Trout $8

Harper $5

JD $3

Schwarber $1

One of Russell/Travis/McCullers $1 each

Would you trade Trout+ non keepers for Bryant $5 and Arrieta $3?

Getting close to our trade deadline ... 16-team CBS points league. Was wondering what sort of draft picks could be fetched for these players, who are not eligible to be protected next season:

Miggy

Buster Posey

Dallas Keuchel

Zack Greinke

Adrian Gonzalez

Aroldis Chapman

Would a first-round pick be worth it for 6-8 weeks of any of the top guys? Too much? Not enough?

(Note: Can keep five, and they go in the round they were drafted the year before.)

You're selling? If so, I think it's just a matter of trying to pit the top teams against each other.

Should have clarified. I'm actually buying, so I only have so many top picks to go around ... assuming accepted offers.

Not worried about going for broke this year. I also have some decent young talent that I could throw into offers ... Russell, Schwarber, C. Seager, P. Tucker, A. Bradley.

One consideration: If I trade a first-round pick, I can't keep McCutchen next season (you have to have a draft pick in that round or higher to protect a player).

It's H2H every week, I take it? Or just most points wins? I'm a big believer in not "selling out" and making big adds in playoff leagues, simply because I think playoffs are a pretty big crapshoot.

I hear you on that. This league in particular is a great example of that. Last year the top four seeds all lost in the quarterfinals.

I may still throw the lure out there on a couple of the guys and see if anyone bites. I can't keep trotting Billy Butler out there at 1B, not too worried about C (have McCann and Schwarber), and who wouldn't want a Greinke at this point.

Thanks for the help!

OK, so I might have gone a little haywire at the deadline.

Picked up Greinke last week and then swapped Wood for Kennedy (with draft picks). All well and good until I added Arenado and C. Santana yesterday and then had an offer for AGon unexpectedly accepted overnight. Thankfully I was turned down on Posey.

So now I may have too many C and 1B/3B/CI than I need, with McCann, Schwarber and Rendon still around. Deadline has passed.

Could be a lot worse, but I'm all in on this season.

How do you guys rank these four for 2016?

Cespedes

Joc Pederson

Kyle Seager

Hosmer

And where among SPs do you think Wainwright will be ranked?

Offer is basically I give Cespedes, Seager and Hosmer and get Pederson and Wainwright. I'm out of it this year. It's a keep 4 bats and three pitchers league. First three bats are set, 4th will come from group above. And wondering if Waiwright coming off the injury is a better keeper option than Tyson Ross.

Think I'd keep Ross, although the defense around him is horrific. I guess that may change. Wainwright's 33 and coming off a really bad injury, obviously.

OBP: Hosmer, Pederson, Seager, Cespedes

AVG: Hosmer, Cespedes, Seager, Pederson

Seager is a better real life player than fantasy player; Pederson is such a K monster that it's really hard to take him seriously. Hosmer is underrated IMO, he isn't gonna hit 40 homers but he just 25 and he still has room to grow.
