Greinke will really test one's faith in terms of using peripheral stats to gauge skill. Obviously his K/BB numbers are off the charts, but his LOB%, line drive rate/BABIP, and HR/FB are all brutal.

I think I'd go with Marcum. But this late in the season, you might want to chart out everyone's remaining starts, and maybe SOS will help you make a decision. Pineda's will probably be best, but there's always the chance of an IP cap for him.

Just got offered Reyes & Marcum for Kershaw & Castro in a H2H pts keeper league. We can only keep 5 players for 3 yrs so only Reyes & Kershaw are keeper eligible IMO.Reyes is on fire and has scored 70 more pts than Castro. Marcum & Kershaw are closer in pts. Should I counteroffer for Shields instead. Hes less injury prone.PS Wins are worth 12 pts in this league. And Reyes is the #10 overall hitter.

Is your lineup posted somewhere? Seems like you're giving up a little too much at first sight, even if you're selling high on Jurrjens. Maybe you can offer a lesser pitcher than Jurrjens?

If you needed more offense and have good enough pitching not to miss Greinke then maybe.....I don't like it but doesn't mean it won't workAnd there are no plans that will work re ARod for the next six weeks while he recovers from knee surgery

The only thing you gain on the hitting side with that trade is a few stolen bases - a loser in every other category

The only thing you gain on the hitting side with that trade is a few stolen bases - a loser in every other category

Its a pts league. They difference in pts between the two this year is negligible

Not points. 5x5, with OBP instead of average.I thought they were both bad, but that 1 was worse. Stubbs is scuffling terribly, and Dusty has been dropping him in the lineup /benching him. Not as sexy when he's not leading off.

BJ Upton is on pace for nearly a 30/40 season. He gets a bad rap due to his BA but maybe the guy is punting that category. Dont get me wrong I still like the Fielder side but dont think its terrible.

The question is what should I be prepared to offer for Greinke and or Marcum. If I lowball him he will simply not respond. In my opinion Texeira or Kinsler are worth more than either alone.I've emailed him several times.
