Trade Bait (1 Viewer)

Who are the guys that can be targeted in the middle rounds that will exceed their adp at the start of the season due to an easy schedule before fizzling out? An example would be Brandon Lloyd from last year. I got him in the middle to late rounds and his hot start enable me to trade up for better quality before he fizzled out. I have not had a chance to look over schedules but was curious if you guys had any early trade bait in mind.

Lloyd started last season

65 1

17 0

142 2

102 0

I traded him after game 3 in a multiplayer deal for andre johnson (turned out to be a disappointment but beside the point). Well Lloyd was trash the rest of the season, except seatle game, as expected but I was able to take advantage of his hot start and trade up for a percieved better player. All I was looking for was if anyone can predict a potential 2005 Lloyd for this year. This strategy could have helped me last year had andre not been a bust.

I'd suggest G Jennings, but he might be someone you'll want to keep around for a WR3 or fill in when he grabs the WR2 job in GB and never looks back.

Others:

R. White or Jenkins in ATL - may get a couple td bombs and be trade worthy

TO's early replacement (Crayton or Hurd)

Battle (deja vu in SF) if he gets healthy

Coles may look good early but I'd get what I could if he starts decent.

Either M Clayton

Burleson (should look decent till J Stevens gets back)

take a look at the guys who have cake schedules for the first five games, and then tough ones afterward.

There are quite a few of them.

I think the old running backs who are still starting are good for that:

Ahman Green

Jamal Lewis

Fred Taylor

Coery Dillon

Drew Bledsoe is a candidate every year, given his propensity to start hot and then inevitably cool off after about week 6 or 7.
