Sanders, Bob IND S 146.20 8 FA

As you can see, Freeney starts, Sanders may not, but he gives some youth.

Thoughts?

FWIW, my offense is decent and young, so I was looking to go DL / S anyway.

looks like you got a steal.

are these guys FA or something!?

why would he give those guys up for draft picks????

Two All Pro defensive players or two rookie picks that may or may not pan out?

You did great. My limited IDP experience has shown me folks tend to undervalue blue chip defensive talent. I would much rather have those two guys versus two more WR or L-O-N-G shot RB prospects riding my bench.

Seems to be the consensus. I honestly would not have done it if I felt I had a good stable of DEs and S's in hand. There's talent out there, but I agree that rookie picks tend to be overvalued.

I like because you *needed* Freeney, and I like Sanders as much as any safety not named Troy. You could have probably landed a nice 2nd tier WR prospect (Bradley is a good compare) and any DE/S you wanted in the whole draft at 25/35, so its even value.

Sanders was very sporadic last year fantasy wise, at least in my leagues. He's a great hitter, but he didn't make very many big plays. I still think it's a good trade, but I also think Sanders is overvalued by many..
