Geathers is on the rise, I wouldnt read too much into recent reports that Robinson and Smith are the starters. Robinson wasnt exactly stellar last year.

Carter came on strong late in the year with 6 sacks in the final 7 games

Berry could be a monster if healthy in a 3-4 hybrid

Don't know how deep your rosters are, but giving up those picks might hurt you too.

Don't have much of an opinion on Thornton

Brackett will put up nice statlines (tackles), but as a long term prospect I'm a little less than excited about him. Seems like the Colts are dedicated to him though.

About posts like these, you might want to try the assistent coach's forum. I like the input here much better too, but I learned my lesson that posts about specific ff teams does not belong here.

I think you gave up too much for a guy who *might just be* your LB4 by the end of the season.

You have some really good young talent at that spot with MLBs Gaither, Cooper, Hodge, and Brooks..which is huge in your tackle heavy scoring.

I think I would have been patient and waited for some to develop.

Thanks for the feedback. I needed to cut 4 by 5/31...I was thinking of cutting a few of the guys I traded. I plan on starting Warner & Hali + D White at DL...I had the others I traded as backups / cuts.

Also my LB's are so weak, I agree Brackett isn't a STUD....but a definite upgrade and probably my #2 LB. So I saw it as trading my 4,5, and 6 DL for a #2 LB. Plus I had to cut 4.

So wouldn't Warner + Hali + White be my starters?

I hope the response isn't...."It depends on matchups & new schemes..."

That's OK if you have 3 DL and only need to start 3 DL but what do you do for bye weeks and if there is an injury? Starting 3 DL, I would carry at least 4 and most likely 5.There are a couple DBs I would have cut and at least 1 LB

I agree that I do need 4-5 DL's...but my LB's are horrible. LB's / DB's score double the pts DL's do. To me DL's are a luxury that my DEF is not set up for.

Look at my LB's.....Can't just sit back with these guys.

But I see your point and I am new at this....so maybe another lesson coming for me.

Quantity does not equal quality.IMO you would have been better off keeping above average DL. Then package one of them with your average LB to trade for an above average LB to some one who has depth at LB but wants an upgrade at LB.You sort of did this but you gave him- Robert Geathers DE CIN- great potential and ready to contibute- Andre Carter DE WAS - had stud potential, now who knows- Bert Berry DE ARI - could be great in new system and IF he stays healthy for a whole seasonforBrackett- decent LBBut what stings is you also gave him- David Thornton LB TEN- almost equivalent to Brackett IMOAND - 2008 4th Rd. and 2008 5th Rd.the best offer I would have made for Brackett is 2 of the DL and ThorntonJMOBut... I do like your current LB core now, just some depth a DL which is actually kinda hard to find
