Some background...
Peyton's owner is offering him up for trade for a an RB. I think he is expecting Peyton's numbers to drop later in the season as the Colts lock up thier place in the playoffs, and he just lost Clinton Portis, the only good RB he had. And he is trying to make a run at winning it all this year.
I am just trying to stay out of last place, but thinking ahead to next year. We are allowed 3 keepers, no more than 2 at any one position. I have no QBs to speak of (I'm starting Kitna) and I have:
S. Alexander
F. Gore
E. James
Jamal Lewis
I also plan on keeping, if it makes sense, T. Holt. Also, after McNabb got hurt, his owner dropped him, and I picked him up.
I figure the only RBs he will think about are Gore or Alexander. I know the shelf life for RBs is short, and Alexander is getting old. Gore is young, but already seems to have a bad shoulder. James could still be great if he had an O-Line, and Lewis probably has too many miles on him long term.
League info: 10 teams, start: 1QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 WR/RB/TE, 1 TE, pretty standard scoring, but not PPR.
Any ideas? I can't pass up the potential Manning has over the next few years, probably longer than any RB, but does picking up McNabb mean I already have a QB to keep for next year?.
Thanks,
AJ
