Trading for MJD (1 Viewer)

Shark move or just plain stupid?

I've heard some say that they would not draft MJD any earlier than the 4th round. Given that, would moving your 4th round pick for MJD be fair value given his current status?

For those that have already drafted MJD, what value would you be looking for in return?

That might be where people would take him right now but I think most people that maybe invested a pick in round 1 or round 2 are probably not yet willing to discount him and would rather hope this gets settled. If you are really deep at a position that the 4th round player was selected in and the other owner is panicking then you might be able to get something done.

I think at best he is good for 1200 total yards and maybe 6 TDs...good numbers no doubt, but I look at that as the ceiling. One aspect that gets lost in this is that he has opened the window (finally) for Jennings. Jennings is healthy and running well, plus what does Jax think when they get him back? That he will pull the same thing next off season? They may want to know what they have in Jennings, and even if he does not start, they may liberally sprinkle him in throughout the season. In my mind, this adds up to a 4th round performance (at best) and you are faced with two scenarios...(1) someone took him in round 1-2 and want somewhat equal value back, or (2) someone got him in 3-4 and are willing to take the risk...before I make an offer in any league (and honestly, I don't want him), I would look at where the guy drafted him first, so I have a clue of what his expectations likely will be.
