Offer 2 would interest me slightly if I was extremely weak at 2nd and 3rd....however the general rule of thumb is whoever receives the best player in a trade has won the trade. Halladay is way more valuable than any of those players mentioned.
Think of it this way. In a mixed league, I think Halladay is in the top dozen starting pitchers. In return I'd want at least a top 20 or so offensive player, or two players in the top dozen or so at their position. None of the players mentioned qualifies.
I would hold Roy. True A#1 pitchers are hard to come by and he should be that this year. The guys in the deals simply aren't worth it unless your offense is awful and your pitching is solid without him.
As an aside, Roy was traded in my H2H keeper in the offseason for a 3rd round pick - I think it was pick 24 if I'm not mistaken. The guys being offered to you aren't anywhere near that base value - at least in my league.
I hear what you are saying. The Cuddyer/Chavez offer is intriguing because of the possiblility of 90+ RBI's each. That would solidify my offense.I'm going to counter offer.
You're looking at this the wrong way. Who is Chavez replacing? If you are currently not running any 3B out there, well, he is a huge improvement. However, let's say you have a middle of the road 3B man, well, he is only marginally better. 90 RBI's isn't world beating production, and quite frankly Chavez is a wreck in the other categories. Mid-20's homer power doesn't offset .250 batting averages. And he may only score 75 runs for you which is very weak.Cuddyer is an okay outfielder too, but again, who he is replacing is much more important than how he will produce. Cuddyer is not superior in any category, so unless you have a vacant OF spot, or are using some guy in a platoon that is not getting any pt, like Kevin Mench, well, you are only going to realize the above and beyond numbers that Cuddyer may produce.
Hell no, don't do either trade. IMO, you always go after the best player in the deal, and that happens to be your guy. Besides, Chavez sucks in one deal, and Crede is marginal in the other.

6 X 6 Head to Head Weekly FormatBest two offers for Halladay:1. Michael Cuddyer and Eric Chavez2. Josh Barfield and Joe CredeThis is my first year in a combined AL/NL pool. Any thoughts?
I'll give you a hint - 2 for 1 trades are the best way to win your league...if you're the guy getting the 1 player in return. Both of these offers are a joke to be honest.Halladay is sort of a 1B SP because his K rate isn't as high as some other top guys, but he's right up there. Someone like Damon would be a fair offer. All 4 of the guys you were offered are average players. 2 average does not equal 1 very good player.
