One 14 team league I am in has around 10 Shark teams and 4 hangers on.

What pisses me off is that every time you offer a trade to one of the hangers on..they call one of my rivals and ask if it is a good deal or not.

Of course the guys I am trying to beat always say "No..he is screwing you..ask for more..or don`t do it" Even if it is a fair deal. They don`t want me to improve my team even if I am giving fair value in return.

I would never call another team in my league and ask if I should make a trade or not. If you are going to do that why even play FF?

Anyone else has owners who do that as well?

Our hangers on are so suspicious of the rest of us in the league that they just reject our trade offers without any attempt to negotiate. It's kind of frustrating, but it usually hurts them more in the end.

Of course owners talk... it's a friendly game... don't get so worked up...I get calls from over 1/2 the league asking advice weekly.... Yeah, some owners try to be tricky or dishonest, but it's up to the owner asking for advice to filter the BS....The bigger issue we have is someone calls another about it, so that person backdoors them...
