Trash my top 12 RBs (1 Viewer)

Did this on another site. Kinda surprised myself when I was done. Would love to hear thoughts:

haven't done any projections cause I'm lazy and it makes FF boring, but here's how I see it being at year's end:

1. LT

2. SA

3. SJax

4. Westy

5. Portis

6. LJ

7. FWP

8. TJones

9. Gore

10. Rudi

11. Benson

12. Henry

reason being it's almost never like people expect. This year more than most there is going to be a lot of people out of the top ten that were in last year. Westy and TJones get vastly underrated every year. Rudi is almost always a lock. FWP is slated to get all the touches. I think Gore will get dinged and probably had such a great year last year because he was the only offense. With VD healthy and D-Jax in there, plus Smith's continued development, I see him being less of a focal point. The fact that he broke his hand without even getting hit (according to HC presser) is a very bad sign. The two I am least sure about are Benson and Henry. Those two are more than a feeling that anything else.

dang, 40 views and no comments? That good or that bad?

like I said, Benson and Henry I'm not so sure about. Addai would likely come in at 13, but I could see him breaking as high as 9 or 10. I just find it more likely that Dungy isn't talking out of his #### when he says that he wants to employ another two-back system. Plus I am just not that high on him as a runner. The situation he's in rocks for sure, but just because of that I don't think he turns into Edge. I think he will improve, but I also think the top 12 is going to be much, much tougher to crack this year. I see the big dropoff after FWP and then not really another big dropoff until you hit the full-blown RBBC backs (excluding Deuce and Bush cause I think they can field two top-20 backs on that team. Addai could easily be in but I see him getting about 6-12 FP lower than Benson and Henry at the end of the year. And that 6-10 could be the difference between 13 and 17.

Is this a ppr ranking? I can see him being 13 in a non ppr, but in a ppr I think he is a lock for top 10 with the way he catches the ball out of the backfield...

I like that you have SA and Portis back where they should be. Jones and Benson shouldn't be there. Caddy and Addai should be in there. Bush should be in PPR.

swapping TJones for Addai is very reasonable, but I won't do it. And no, this is non-ppr rankings. In ppr, Jones and likely either Henry or Benson would be replaced by Bush and either Addai or Ronnie Brown, and SJax would be ahead of SA.

Your list is ####

1. LT (with as many reps as he's had, Turner is a must)

2. SA (coin flip on him being injured, if not he still might be just so so)

3. SJax (a lot of points scored in junk time and won't get 90 rec. again but still worthy of 2nd pic)

4. Westy (coin flip injury factor, IF he can have another injury free season, then you could rate him this high)

5. Portis (see Westy)

6. LJ (will come down a notch this season, 6 pic about right)

7. FWP (about right)

8. TJones (not enough TD's for this spot, but will finish top 15)

9. Gore (will miss Norv, just ask Lamont)

10. Rudi (about right)

11. Benson (Until he proves he can carry a full load, this is too high)

12. Henry (Shanahanagins will decide where he finishes, way better or way worse than this)

Hows that, enough trash for you?

1. LT <-- obvious :P2. SA <-- I don't have him this high, he's getting to be an OLD RB3. SJax <-- this is about right4. Westy <-- I don't think he'll repeat last year, this is too high5. Portis <-- he should be higher6. LJ <-- much lower, KC is a wreck7. FWP <-- can't make up my mind about him8. TJones <-- somwhere around here is right, depending on PPR9. Gore <-- much, though that was before the hand. I think the improved passing will help Gore improve.10. Rudi <-- not so high on Rudi11. Benson <--I'm not high on him, but he should be decent12. Henry <-- higher in DENMissing on your list:Bush <-- he will finish in the top-10, if not top-6Addai <-- definitely in the top-12, probably top-10I also like Ronnie Brown better than Rudi and Benson

So Portis is your number 2 back?

What's up kid. I finally joined the forums. Anyway, I totally agree that there is always a shake up and the trick is finding the backs that will jump up. Addai is a lock to move into the top 10 but probably no higher than 6 though. And just to talk trash, I can't believe you agreed that Benson will beat Henry. Do we actually agree on something?

1. LT <-- obvious  2. SA <-- I don't have him this high, he's getting to be an OLD RB

Let's see....Birth date:

Shaun Alexander 08/30/1977

LT 06/23/1979

Career # of touches:

Shaun Alexander: 1969 carries + 200 receptions = 2169 touches

LT: 2050 carries + 398 receptions = 2448 touches

So is being 2 years older really that big a deal? Considering LT has ~300 more touches than Shaun despite playing 2 less years?

 Portis at #5.. at LJ ALL the way down at #6. :ptts: :lmao: at Benson being mentioned as a top 10 RB..dude stop, you're cracking me up here...laughing hysterically.. :lmao: @ SA ranked #2..broken foot and on the wrong side of 30 with a TON of mileage on his legs.. TJ higher than Henry? higher than Rudi? TJ is good, but won't be THAT good..

I would drop Portis, T. Jones, Gore and Benson out of there. Guys like Addai, Bush, Deuce, Edge, MJD, Maroney could be possible replacements.

Nice job taking a risk and posting your thoughts. Best prediction is LJ. Worst prediction is SA. But what do I know?

Different kinds of runners. SA's two years are alot for an RB, the body just doesn't heal as quickly. Just my opinion.
