I like this signing better than the Ahman Green/Houston one. I think he could put up good numbers, but I agree that the days you can plug DEN RB and get stellar numbers are long gone.
If he can stay clean and boo-boo free tho, he could do very well there.
Denver RB history down? Skelator is bipolar since he and Portis separated. Why would this be any different?I suspect Henry will be the man in Denver and have a nice year but not top 5 type numbers.
Agreed. A Denver starting RB that gets a good load of the work will post top 12 numbers...no one can say who will definitely make top5 other than maybe LT or LJ really.
Top 5 always depends on TDs. Denver RBs, before last year, have for the most part scored 12+ TDs a year. Also, Henry has low mileage as far as carries over the last 3 years.2006- 2702005- 882004- 94
Played with a broken bone that would have put a mortal human in the hospital bed for weeks. Yet TH goes out and runs like a man possessed barreling over 250 LB's who have no broken bones.
Also he's a man of high character, the sleeping with 15 yr olds and failing the drug test twice were cover ups to hold the man down. The NFL wasn't ready for such a warrior to enter the league and had to find ways to bring him down or he would have re-wrote the record books.
I'm gonna go ahead and move him to #3, I just don't think LJ is on the same level tough wise.

If Henry gets 300 carries at 4.5 ypc...1400 yards rushing easy. Another 250-300 receiving, 10-15 TD...I don't think the numbers are that unrealistic in that offense. They must have protection built into his contract.Denver did not spend $12 million in guaranteed money to have him mired in a RBBC, it would appear that they feel he can handle the load. They put their money where my mouth is.
Are you saying this contract is 100% guaranteed?Broncos | Henry signed to five-year, $12 million dealMon, 5 Mar 2007 12:03:51 -0800ESPNews reports the Denver Broncos have signed RB Travis Henry (Titans) to a five-year contract worth $12 million.

Hey Beau,I read he signed with $12 million in guarantees which to me means the contract probably averages more like $3-4 million per year with a nice signing bonus...I am guessing but I bet it is somewhere in the vacinity of 5 years $25 million and that is if he hits all the incentive clauses...you can be sure the Broncos put plenty of those in the contract. I could be wrong but I would think that is how it is structured...
