Trent Edwards turned down the dolphins? (1 Viewer)

loose circuits

Rotoworld:

Free agent QB Trent Edwards reportedly turned down an offer from the Dolphins this week.Edwards was offered a deal after Tuesday's workout, but he turned it down because he didn't want to play for the Dolphins. Unlike the situation with David Garrard, money was not a factor. From what we've seen of Miami's front office, it's hard to blame Edwards. The Dolphins did end up with a better backup in Sage Rosenfels.
Why would Edwards go work out in Miami only to not even want to play there? Just a free trip to the beach in the fall?Who does Trent Edwards think he is that he's "too good" for any NFL job? This just doesn't make sense to me...

Just keeping his name out there. Especially now that the story is out there that the Dolphins thought enough of him to offer him a job, other teams may be more likely to give him a call.

Pretty bad if you're the Dolphins and you're getting turned down by Trent freaking Edwards. :lmao:

As a Bills fan that had to suffer through watching him after he took that brutal hit that caused his concussion, I can only say that I'm disappointed that he didn't accept the offer.

ETA: And he may have worked out for them, talked with the coaching staff and front office, and came away convinced that they're all incompetent and it would be a terrible place to play.

You know how sometimes someone tells you they farted in the other room and you shouldn't go in there, no one should go in there, but you just need to get your shoes real quick and it can't be that bad right, but then you go in there and you're like this smells worse than I could have possibly imagined?

It's kind of like that.
