I wish Evans would do better just so ATRAIN will stop offering him to me.Evans has been horrible with both QBS. The QBs should call for Moulds/Price return.Paddy O said:You saw that Evens is calling for Losman's return?![]()
Good call......that being said, Edwards then, is BUF 2008 opening day starter.........Losman is just not good, plain and simple.......EBF said:I think Edwards needed to win that Dallas game in order to keep the job. Losman is a free agent at the end of the season. The Bills need to figure out if they want to sign him to a long-term deal. I expect them to give him an extended opportunity to prove himself. If he fails then I suspect the team will move forward with Edwards as their 2008 opening day starter.
Exactly... I thought they shortened the playbook because of the rook, but obviously given Evans lack of looks... something happened this year...IMO JP. Their entire offensive package sucks. Pass over 20 yards and the fans would probably go into SHOCK![]()
Evans and the QBs should call for a new COACH.Losman will be fine. Mark it down, Losman is a top 15 QB in the 2nd half of this season.Evans has been horrible with both QBS. The QBs should call for Moulds/Price return.Paddy O said:You saw that Evens is calling for Losman's return?![]()
Many people are seeing the score and not paying attention to HOW the points were scored.Edwards could be a decent QB, but he is not the answer, at least not now.I really don't know how effective either of these guys are in that dink and dunk offense. I don't understand how anyone can call Edwards better than J.P. Losman at this point in their careers. Remember when the Chargers thought that Brees wasn't their future. It is much to early to say Losman is just bad. I mean people say he has regressed from last season but he only played in 2 games this season and one drive in game 3 and had a grand total of 47 passing attempts on the season. He did though complete 30 of those attempts for a 63% completion percentage.
Losman is 26, and showed signs last season of being a good starting QB. He completed 62.5% of his passes last season threw for over 3000 yards and had 19 TD's to 14 Int's. He has good mobility and throws a great deep ball. The Bills were 6 and 9 with him as the starter as a 25 year old. People may be giving up on this guy way to soon. T. Edwards may turn into a good starting QB but he looks pretty ordinary to me. We have to remember that he is only 2 and a half years younger than Losman as well. Lets not get to excited about Edwards a guy that has 1 TD to 3 Ints in his 2 NFL starts and couldn't win a game where his defense and special teams scored all but 3 points and he had a HUGE interception that was one of the reasons his team lost. People need to put things into perspective here.
They have a bye this week.Edwards looked crappy on Monday and I got disgusted with the announcers raving about him like he was a young Joe Monana. Can anyone give an update on Losman's injury? CAN he play Sunday?
Doh. Of course, I meant could he Sunday. Is he available? They have a bye this week.Edwards looked crappy on Monday and I got disgusted with the announcers raving about him like he was a young Joe Monana. :X Crappy to me is limiting your throwing to 5 yards every pass. Can anyone give an update on Losman's injury? CAN he play Sunday?
Actually Losman has one more year left after this season.I am not a Loman basher but I do think the Bills would be better served to go with Edwards in the long wrong. Losman is more athletic and has a stronger arm, but I believe Edwards is a better "field general". I know Edwards has only played in 3 games but he reminds me of a Phil Simms. If he can get some quality coaching, I would be a lot happier.Whatever they do, then should come out and announce their starter without letting the decision process linger and lead to a divided lockerroom.EBF said:I think Edwards needed to win that Dallas game in order to keep the job. By who? Bills fans?Losman is rumorred to be traded.
I saw it at Ben Maller's siteBy who? Bills fans?Losman is rumorred to be traded.![]()
With all that great protection the O-Line was giving him I was surprised he didn't sit back and go deep more often. That and all the balls he was throwing in the dirt and to players in white jerseys. He looked awful.Losman is rumorred to be traded.Since those things rarely happen I figure that is the first sign that means they're not re-signing him.I like Edwards, not so sure why

That is from an article by a column writer named Bob Matthews. He is pretty clueless and this isn't even a blip on the radar to be qualified as a valid rumor. The NFL trade deadline is Oct. 16, which means the Buffalo Bills have time to trade quarterback J.P. Losman before they play another game (Oct. 21 home against the Baltimore Ravens). It would be a good move for the Bills and a good move for Losman. There are teams in the NFL hurting for help at quarterback — for example, the Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers and St. Louis Rams. If the Bills could get as much as a fourth- or fifth-round draft pick in return, I'd move Losman immediately. In his first two starts for the Bills, rookie Trent Edwards has shown more poise, savvy and medium-range touch and accuracy than Losman had in 32 games and 27 starts since being selected 22nd overall in the 2004 NFL college draft. If the Bills were a reasonable candidate to make the playoffs this season, it would be wise to keep Losman as an insurance policy in case Edwards were to be hurt and knocked out of commission for an extended period. -- The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle
