Predraft poll. Best dynasty landing spot for Richardson between just these two teams? Go on record and also state in a post which team you chose and why if you'd like. (Sabertooth, would like you on record, LOL)

I like both spots.

Bucs - Pros = good O-line, better offense around him. Cons = Blount. I am not a fan of Blount and don't think highly of him but I've underestimated players before.

Browns - Pros = good O-line, no competition for touches. Cons = Offense not very good right now, could be alot of 8 in the box. This could change though and it could start improving this week.

I almost am going to say equal but I'll give the slightest of edges to the Bucs because of the division the Browns play in.

LOL. Nobody going on record.
What is the point of "Going on record"? He will be drafted by 1 team, not 2, so there is no way to compare how his career could have been if he was drafted by the other.Heck, he could even go to another team altogether. I voted the Browns, because that is where I WANT him to go. But that is more a function of that being my team than anything else. I was mad when we passed on LaDanian Tomlinson, and even more so when we didn't take Peterson. This guy may be the best prospect since those 2, and I want him on my team...

Hands down, Bucs.

Better offensive talent around him, and less chance he contracts a staph infection.

Oh. Thumbs up.

If Richardson is as good as advertised, he's going to be a handfull for those aging defenses everyone has so much respect for. Bucs are supposed to be a run first team sure, but their D doesnt look like they're going to stop anyone.

I'm not convinced he goes to either team. I'm not seeing how going up against the Steelers and Raven's for a full 1/4 of your games is good. Perennial defensive powerhouses. That's dicey. I like Tampa better, but I really kind of hope the Jets get him.

As for going on record, um he's going to one team or the other. So how will those that picked the other team be proven wrong or right? For that matter this poll will be on page 4 by tomorrow. Not sure what the point is..

The Browns have a better line and less competition. While I believe Richardson would relegate Blount to uselessness pretty quickly, there's always that chance that the Bucs see him as a goaline option just because he's big.

One thing that's being overlooked here is the defenses. While not great, the Browns defense is good enough to keep the running game in play for all 4 quarters. Meanwhile, the Bucs had to abandon the running game by halftime in their last 8 games last year.

While the Browns face tough defenses in their division, the Bucs face tough offenses and with their defense it's unlikely that they'd be putting forth very many rushing attempts against their division opponents who will likely all be opening big early leads on them in the near future.

While he had 24 carries in the first game against Atlanta (which they won), Blount averaged just 8 carries per game (and as a team they averaged only slightly more than that) in his other 4 games against division opponents, all of which they fell behind in early.

Bucs. Better talent and line right now. More confidence in the coach. Think Schiano will be solid.

I think they both want him. But I think Richardson ends up going at 3. The question then becomes, who moves up to get him. I think the Browns have more ammo, and have already been burned once (RG3). I think the Browns give up a pick to move up one slot, get Richardson and have him on the roster.

I personally want some mystery team to jump up to three and grab him. Although if the Browns can keep their top three picks, and can use one of them on RT, it should be a good spot for Trent. Colt McCoy as the QB is a bit scary, but ADP has always produced, despite often having horrible play at QB.

exactly what I was thinking. Besides, I like Freeman as his QB better than McCoy. Better WRs to keep the defense honest too. But the Jets would be perfect.

That's because the Ravens/Steelers defenses are very old and not as good as they once were. Enter in Trich being 21 and I see the AFC North as being a great landing spot. Heck, I think the Bengals have the best defense in the division 2 years from now.

I think there is a small chance (5% to 10%) he ends up going to the Rams or Jets if one of those teams trade up to three to get him. He's going to be a top four pick in the draft most likely though.

Like Jacksonville
Adam Schefter reported on ESPN's SportsCenter draft special Thursday that the Jaguars have "made some calls to move up" with under five hours left before the first round. The Jaguars were known to be a bit infatuated with Trent Richardson as early as the Senior Bowl in January, although those rumors have been nonexistent of late. The player for whom Jacksonville might be targeting is unclear, if it's not the Alabama back. It might also be Justin Blackmon. Per Schefter, there are six teams that have shown interest in trading up in the draft. They are the Jags, Eagles, Patriots, Chargers, Packers, and Bills.

I see 1 of 3 scenarios for Richardson (see also Trent, TRick, or that awesome Running back from Alabama guy).

1. There is a trade up for him with the Vikes

2. Cleveland takes him.

3 He slips past the Bucs.

I do not think Tampa would take him at 5 even if he is on the board with the embarrassment that their Defense is in that division. Although Trent is no doubt more talented than Blount, he too would suffer like Blount did if the Tampa D refuses to stop the opposition. 8 in the box. Upgrades at tackle and VJax not withstanding, they'll STILL be playing from WAY behind if they don't fix this Defense in the draft.

All that to say, I've been wrong at least once already today...

Extremely unlikely he gets past to the Buccaneers. He appears to be the #1 non QB on their board. They aren't going to pass on him.

Jags are a nightmare fantasy location for him. (and MJD)

Richardson would have fared better in TB than with the Browns. The Bucs have a better all round offense and the NFC South is a better division for RB's to excel. Trent now gets the displeasure to face the Steelers and Ravens twice a year. Too bad for him.
