Why am I not seeing any hype about this kid?

He has good size, had great stats last year at ND and was an absolute terror during Senior Bowl practices and during the game. Yet no one is talking about him and I have yet to see a mock draft where he's taken... even ones that cover the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

What am I missing here? I think he's gonna be a very good 4-3 UT or 3-4 DE.

I think what your missing is that he wont "measure" well at the combine.

Kids looks like he can play though.

Was weird seeing this name's kid in a FBG thread - I covered him when he was a state champion wrestler in Apple Valley, Minnesota. He is a beast!

I'd say it's probably because Notre Dame isn't the media whore it once was.

I agree though...he has looked good. He's no Sedrick Ellis...but he's shown the ability to make plays.

He could be a great later round steal for someone.

Also, and surely I'm mistaken on this, did one of the announcers of the Senior bowl say he had over 100 tackles his senior year?!?! Or was that over his entire collegiate career?

I have watched every ND game for as long as i can remember, and this kid just flat out makes plays. For how bad ND was this past year, he was the only playmaker on defense. He was in the backfield on almost every running play, even after getting double-teamed. Laws has a ton of potential, but is not hyped. He will be a steal in the 3rd or 4th round... mark my words!!
