I am goign to Pittsburgh for work August 17-21. I plan on going to the games on the 18th and 19th. I am staying at a hotel that i understand I can walk to the park from. Any ideas on places close to eat, drink etc? Any FBGer's goign to those games and want to meet for a drink or two?

Peace

My friend from Pittsburgh is always raving about the sandwiches from Primanti Brothers.
I was underwhelmed with the Primanti sandwiches inside the stadium. My wife liked hers. Park is awesome though. I actually preferred the seats we had in the upper deck as opposed to the field level because you can see more of the skyline and river.
the stadium does not have the full menu and for the proper flavoring you need to go to the Primanti's in the Strip District. Get pastrami, cheese, and egg. Add hot sauce. Thank me.

Might want to see where Jerome Bettis' restaurant is. It's down there somewhere.
It is between PNC Park and Heinz Field, being much closer Heinz.Nothing special. Good variety, fairly priced. Always nice when one of the logo glasses accidentally falls into your girlfriend's bag.

Oh, I should've mentioned that we went to the one in the Strip District. FAR better...I was just telling him to not get the ones in the stadium.Oh, and thanks!

My friend officially seconds this.

Whenever you go to a place like this, it is someone's birthday. So you have a shiny birthday gift bag with tissue paper sticking out of the top. You sit it on the table throughout the meal.Works for me...Peace

If you want a nice meal before the game, go to Atria's right outside the stadium. Actually it's built right into the side of the stadium. Very good food at reasonable prices. I highly recommend the pot roast nachos.
