Trip's 9 Point Plan to Save the American and Global Economy (1 Viewer)

You do realize this pandemic is nowhere near over, correct? The curve hasn't flattened, infections and deaths are still climbing at a fairly steady rate, and over the course of history, pandemics of this scale have lasted for years, not weeks. Spanish Flu was a problem for 3 years at least, but hey, let's wait a month, throw open the doors and go nuts!

What could possibly go wrong?
Just go reread my last post each time you want to reply. Thanks.

I think you are the one struggling here, the plan was to shelter in place so we don’t overrun hospitals and have ventilator shortages etc, not to make everyone stay on their home until coronavirus is gone. While any death is very sad, where we are from projections in the millions with what we faced is much better than it could have been. You can keep repeating until you are blue in the face but what you want isn’t going to be reality. Also acting like you are making some difference in society by sharing your unrealistic info in a football chat room is rich. Keep up the good work?
OK so let’s try this from a different angle....

So according to your post you agree that this situation with made better, aka flattened the curve for the healthcare system, by the measures that were taken.  I agree.  So why do you think we have fared much better than it could’ve been, as you said, and it’s not the millions that was one time projected?  What did we do to make this so?  And what’s different now that’s going to stop that from ultimately happening?  TIA.

It’s really pretty simple and not debatable, states will be opening back up in the next month or so. No one took it seriously to start, now most will and social distancing, masks etc will be the new norm. You can keep holding your breath and stomping but this will be the plan, you can’t force everyone to stay home until there’s a vaccine in a year but the good news is you can stay home if you are that worried you can’t adapt.

You’re incredible man, you just can’t stop being condescending.  I asked you honest questions, agreed with some of your points and truly attempt dialogue.  Yet you #### all over it again.  I’m done with you.

You and the crew are  :deadhorse:  with a scenario that won’t happen, it’s best we all be done with repeating the same thing. Best of luck to you.

We’re six pages into a thread your buddy started  called “Trip's 9 Point Plan to Save the American and Global Economy” and you’re suddenly accusing people of self-aggrandizement?

Anyway, I think it’s pretty clear you still don’t understand the concept of public health no matter how many times people try to explain it to you. I hope you figure it it eventually (because, you know, it affects me and ... oh, never mind.)

Sounds like you still don’t get it, why keep repeating the same inaccurate info and lame insults? Move along and stop quoting me with the same alternate reality from what we live in. . Good luck to you.

It disappoints me to know that so many people see that the United States currently has a third of the total recorded Covid cases worldwide, with ~2,000 people dying each day for the past several days, and their decision in how to deal with ending this pandemic would only make it worse. What's worse is the reasoning that the economy needs to be reopened. That is a bad idea!

Yes, the coming months are going to be unpleasant, and I've somehow been "fortunate" enough to be able to work on various job sites, so I'm not stuck with cabin fever. I've been working at various medical facilities, keeping my distance from everybody(it helps that construction sites are off limits), but these medical personnel are running themselves ragged trying to get a handle on this. Opening up too soon is going to compound the problem, especially since testing is so subpar, and it will make a second wave(when it happens, we're not through the first one yet) truly devastating.

Look, I'd like to go to the beach, visit my family and friends, see my new nephew, all that stuff. But this is not the way to go about it. Before anyone accuses me of trying to cower indoors for the next 2 years, I suggest they go talk to some loved ones of the almost 55,000 that have died from this, and see if it'll be worth it.

:blackdot: :blackdot:

You mean like when were going to have 2 Million deaths?

Or do you mean like when we were going to have a ventilator shortage?

Or do you mean like when the death rate was expected to be 3%?

Doom and gloom prognostications are not getting old, they are ruining lives unnecessarily.

Shame on the liberal media for pedaling lies and creating false narratives for a political agenda.

The only time I’ve heard an estimate of two million dead is when referring to no action taken whatsoever.

Why do you keep repeating the two million thing?  The quotes have been shown to you that this was about not taking the measures we have taken.  Repeating the false claim is getting yo be just a bit odd at this point.

This whole Post os a repeat of one you already made and people tore apart with the actual facts.

He keeps repeating it because you keep responding to it.  It’s kind of a trend here.
