So then you enjoyed when George Herbert Walker Bush woke us up one morning to tell us what he had already done? That's the last Pres I can remember acting without checking in on the current temperature of the country. 

Twitter helped Trump win an election, try to keep up in the 21st Century. He probably will send out Tweets from the White House, his voting block loves him for using it as a way to reach millions directly and also quickly. Surprised this is being seen as a strike against. If Obama had started tweeting I think most of his supporters would have called him progressive. Trump does it and it's viewed as terrible. 

The cases against Trump lately are mighty weak. You all were better off bashing him and Billy Bush for their gynecology tour bus.

Look, I don't have a dog in the fight here, but Twitter is a complete cluster.  This is open to debate to many, but mostly people posting non sense, then people replying, then arguments ensuing.  Tweets, like emails, can be construed in many ways and are perpetually taken out of context.  It may be a means of communication, but it is not face to face, nor is it verbal.

Twitter may well have assisted Trump, but there is a difference, IMO, of using it to reach millions of one's supporters and using it to think out loud about foreign and domestic policies.

Our country is extremely desensitized to just about everything nowadays, but other countries are not as progressive as we are and interpret things differently. 

If Trump wants to use Twitter as President, he should understand there should be boundaries, but asking him at this point to understand that is likely impossible.  It is somewhat disconcerting to me that no one in his inner circle has been able to get this point thru to him as well.  If you want to continue to pat yourself on your back for 8 years and have your support base tell you how great you are via Twitter, that's fine by me.  If you want to gloat and poke the majority of Americans who didn't vote for you by Twitter, well, I guess I have to live with that as well.  However, reaching out to your base is different from threatening companies and countries via Twitter.

You state that if Obama has started tweeting he would be called progressive, but Trump is viewed as terrible...................I do think Obama has a POTUS Twitter account, but it is not used as a direct foreign policy tool or for him to think out loud (I think).

When Trump tweets as President, they can be interpreted differently, then people chime in trying to figure out what he meant.  Then then news outlets get experts to decipher his tweets, then the Dems chime in, then the Trump camp weighs in, then Kellyanne tells us that's not what he meant at all.  All I think it does is create controversy and divisiveness. 

But that's just me and let's be honest at this point, Trump's supporters, including yourself, have dug your heels in so deep, that he could light the Bible on fire during the inauguration and you would still support him.  I am resigned to the fact he is the President and I accept it and I want him to succeed, because I want our country to succeed, but he needs to act like the President now, not a private citizen posting deep thoughts like Jack Handey.

You're right I turned a blind eye to his warts because we might never get this opp again in our lives. But the other option was a cold blooded murderer so you just have to sometimes put your morals to the side and do what's best for yourself financially as awful as that may seem.

Hey, I understand the angst over Clinton, I just wish this wasn't the year she ran against Trump.

Honest question for you @Ministry of Pain, did you vote for Clinton or against Trump..........if it was Sanders v. Trump, do you vote Sanders?

I would have loved to have seen Sanders vs Trump. As I posted in the DNC thread, only a very racist South did Clinton really roll Sanders. She beat him 3:1 in some of those southern states. So with that in mind and assuming that would have duplicated in the election Trump would have won even by a larger margin. That might have made it easier for MOP to quietly go throw his vote away for Sanders knowing secretly in his own mind that he was OK with Trump winning. 

I supported Trump from the start almost. Certainly once he got to the first debate I knew he was going to destroy them all. It was too easy for him.

So now we are upset that Trump wants to take Nukes off the table for NKorea to saber rattle? I'm not saying that NK cannot do what they claim but a good chunk of the time they cannot carry out their tests with much precision at all. They have fighter jets from the dark ages. Honestly the second they aim or fire a nuke towards us I think every country that owns them minus China is going to fire them at will towards them at that point. Call it WW3 but I don't think China can take on everyone.

Russia would fire as well, yes they would. What you have left would be World vs China...
