Turner > Gore (1 Viewer)

Guy in out league took Turner at 5 instead of his yearly QB pick, so ended up with Gore after all. Let's hope you guys are right, as there seems to be quite a few more Gore lovers than Turner ones.
That Guy is going to WIN your league this year.:IpickedTurneroverGoreat#5too:

FWIWGore just went 4th in my $200 PPR league  I grabbed Turner at 71)CJ2)AP3)Rice4)Gore5)MJD6)A. Johnson7)Turner
This is exactly the scenario that I am trying to figure out prior to my big $$ league draft tonite. I am at #6 and if the top 5 RB's are gone, do I go for Turner or AJ in PPR? The argument for Turner is that the 2nd round is going to be a WR heavy round with excellent talent vs. question marks at RB at that point. Would I be better going something like AJ/Calvin or AJ/Roddy vs. AJ/?RB? i.e. Mendenhall and hope for the best at RB or take the sure fire RB with a bit less PPR value in Turner and then go Turner/WR. I need to start 2 RBs. As much as I love AJ, I'm not sure I am not better off going Turner over AJ and then WR.Thoughts?

AJ by a mile... go WR/WR or WR/QB. Plenty of RB talent in the later rounds.

Hadn't really considered AJ/QB as I never take a QB that early, however, I appreciate the reasoning. With the abundance of RBBC or timeshare guys, they might all look similar vs. grabbing a relatively sure fire QB like Brees, Manning, Brady. Hmmmmmm

If Gore is still healthy in weeks 14 and 16, I would take him over about anybody for the FF playoffs.

Likely to be playing Seattle and St Louis with a playoff spot up for grabs. Sign me up.

In PPR it is Gore over Turner by a long shot...........
Assuming Gore doesn't come off the field on 3rd down passing situations in favor of Westbrook, and that all of Turner's dedication and work in order to become an effective pass catching back is just a smoke screen to get fantasy owners to overvalue him, I agree.
Not a smoke screen for fantasy owners, but possibly a smoke screen to get other teams believing that when Turner is on the field in pass situations that he is more of a threat than he has been seen as in the past to catch the ball.I fully expect Turner will be better in the passing game than he has been in the past, but I doubt he ends up being as valuable in PPR as Gore.
