Hey folks if you check out the NFL Draft Live feed, you can listen to last nights show in iTunes, search for footballguys in the store and it should come up.
I tried googling this with no luck any links?
The Audible at Blog Talk Radio has it up now
Not on itunes :lmao:
Hit the link in Bloom's post (the one you quoted) and click on the itunes icon above black eyed Joe. It will open up a different Audible page in itunes called "The Audible-NFL Draft Talk Live" and wah-lah there it is.eta: Great Show! Waldman is an awesome addition! :lmao:

First, congrats to Daddy Bloom! Love the Audible!

Question for you guys - In a couple of my leagues, instead of drawing for draft slots (first name gets slot #1, etc.), we draw for order of PICKING draft slots, so if you're fifth and the first four guys have already taken slots 1-4, you can go with 5 or skip to the end and take the 14th slot or anywhere in between. Obviously it depends on the type of league (# of teams, serpentine vs. 3RR, # of starters at each position, etc.), but I'd like to hear your thoughts what you think are the better/worse draft slots this year for my league in particular, but also any thoughts about draft slots in general this year.

My biggest league is a 14 teamer, 3RR draft, we start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1 RB/WR/TE flex, 1 K, 1 DEF ... we have 0.5 PPR, but pretty much standard scoring other than that. Also, initial waiver order is reverse of 1st round draft order.

If I get the first choice, my thought is to go with #1 and not look back. But I'm wondering -- if I can't get one of the top draft slots, at what point would it make more sense to just grab slot 14 if it's available, giving me 3 picks in the top 30 (14, 15, 29) plus the first waiver pick which is nice. Where do you see the biggest dropoff, and what do you see as the prime draft slots this season.

Thanks in advance!
in a 1/2/3/1 with a flex, .5 PPR, later is better, unless you get #1 (or #2 if you love MJD too, and AD is falling to #2 behind MJD in some drafts). i think #14 is pretty strong since you'll likely be able to two get stud WRs, and at 29, a great RB or stud QB.

Hello there gents better rookie TE both short & long termJames Casey or Zach Miller?
Both are great athletes, for now, with Daniels only having signed his tender, no long term deal, I still prefer Casey, but Miller is getting a lot of love and I think he can easily pass Lewis in 2010, so Miller is closing fast, and maybe even passes Casey (as much as I love Casey) if Daniels signs a long term deal.

People have all Greg Jennings near the end of the 2nd tier WR's (Boldin, SS, etc) but I see him as a top tear guy, how do you guys feel about jennings ending up among the Moss, CJ, Andre Johnson's at the end of the year?
He has a shot because Rodgers will be even more comfortable and effective this year, and jennings is clearly "his guy", but he's still not a do everything WR like fitz, andre, calvin - mainly because he's not a big WR that can box out or outmuscle a DB on a third and 7, or in the red zone. His TDs are long, or ones he created by getting open with quickness in the end zone.

I own Casey in a Dynasty League and would like your thoughts on the Owen Daniels situation. How bad is he hurting his chance for a long term contract in Houston with his public sqwauking about it? Will Casey get a chance if Daniels stays?
You know I think Casey is an exceptional talent and he may force his way into playing time regardless of Daniels long term deal, but Daniels presence would still keep a decent amount of targets from going to Casey and cap his upside.

I'd like to hear a little more on Brown vs Addai.I'm not saying I picked Forte, but he had little competition in Chicago, while the Carolina comparison would more likely be Brown = Stewart, rather than Deangelo.Deangelo was a great first round talent who had to sit behind the veteran incumbent and his opportunity came when that veteran incumbent was removed from the picture, which is why I think he was a good pick last year. Are either of these situations similar to Brown's in Indy?It wasn't so long ago that Addai was the hot first round property, and now HE is the veteran incumbent, albeit for a different coach.Addai might've disappointed last year, but lots of players disappoint when they're injured --- is Brown really good enough to leapfrog the first round vet?
I think Brown is a better talent than Addai. Addai wasnt just banged up last year, he seemed to decline and wear down in 07 too. He's just not an everydown back. If Addai gets dinged and Brown gets a full workload, I think that Indy will see that Brown is a "gets stronger as the game goes on" back who can outlast a defense (we saw it time after time at Uconn) and it will be hard for them to relegate him to just a 1A role... that's my working theory.

I wanted to get this in before the show, but I was too busy at work. I've dropped it in the Assistant Coach forum, but I would like your thoughts as well! Thanks for the assist, and I love the show, listen to them as soon as they hit iTunes! OK gentlemen, here's the situation: 12 team dynasty, IDP, non-PPR. I have the option to dissolve my team and add my players to a pool comprised of another team, and then just the two of us draft new rosters from that pool (with the rookie draft picks thrown in as well). I went 2-11 last year, and have the 4th overall pick in the rookie draft. My team:QB - Big Ben; Jason CampbellRB - Pierre Thomas; Willis McGahee; Ray Rice; Darren Sproles; Leon Washington; Jerome HarrisonWR - Randy Moss; TJ; Lance Moore; Domenik Hixon; Mark Bradley; Josh Morgan; Sidney RiceTE - Marcedes LewisIDP - D'Qwell Jackson; Stephen Cooper; Rocky McIntosh; Justin Durant; Akeem JordanOther team:QB - Drew Brees; Carson Palmer; Kerry Collins;RB - Steve Slaton; DeAngelo Williams; Derrick Ward; Fred Jackson; Ryan Moats;WR - Calvin Johnson; Kevin Walter; Dwayne Bowe; Jordy Nelson; Davone Bess; Justin GageTE - Owen Daniels; Jason WittenIDP - Barrett Rudd; Jerod Mayo; Jamie Winborn; Thomas HowardI am leaning one way, but I'm eager to hear everyone else's thoughts...Thanks!
I like the other teams roster better, I would do the dissolve option.
