Tyrell Shavers, WR, BUF (2 Viewers)

Couldn’t see a thread on him.

Anything to see here ? Bills are short of viable WRs for Allen to lock on to, and he’s been popping up on plays on Redzone last few weeks.

5-4-90-1 at the weekend.

In a dynasty sense, might be worth a speculative add depending on roster strength. You kind of feel that there is room for someone to take a bit of a mantle ROS with Coleman flagging and Kincaid with injury troubles

26 years old, where has he been that I've never even heard of him? In dynasty I usually think, if he were good he'd have broken out before now. Not always factual, but that's what usually comes to my mind.

Chad Powers of WRs.

Only his 3rd season this year. His only reception before this season was 1 for 69 yards and a TD 😂

Presumably he has some speed to go with his 6’4 218 pound frame.

All in…….jk

I lost Ridley for the year. Not much on waivers. I might add him and see what happens this week.
Stranger things have happened in many years of playing this game. Ya never know who breaks out when!

Picked him up for ~30% FAAB. Deep league so waivers are sparse.
Looks like I’ll be starting him against the current top team, at flex with Evans and g Wilson on IR, JCM, Ertz, Achane, Mims on bye, Kincaid and demarcado hurt. Desperation mode.
:bag:

Picked him up for free in a few leagues this AM in dynasty. After my boy Shakir was basically ignored last game and this guy got 5 looks, I had to at least see. Seems Bills are DESPERATE to insert a playmaker that can stretch this defense with this guy and now Gabe Davis back in the fold.

Added him for free in a keeper league. I had not heard of this guy before Sunday so cannot comment on his skills. But for long shots, I do like RFA/ERFA players for keeper/dynasty purposes who are connected to a star QB - odds are if he does break out, he will remain a Bill for a while.

Plenty of reasons not to believe, starting with the fact that if he does breakout, he'd be 26 years old when he does.

Still kinda surprised by the lack of interest in him in my leagues. 6'4'' and reasonably fast. Catches with his hands. Great, loved teammate. Led the entire NFL in separation last week in a very limited initial sample as a starting WR. First two years of college benchwarmed at Alabama. 3rd year in NFL, all with the Bills and importantly, Josh Allen. Massive opportunity right now if he can usurp Keon Coleman. We'll see.

Where has he been the last four or five years? Is he Mormon and was serving a mission overseas?

Where has he been the last four or five years?

Buried as a backup at Alabama, Miss St and the Bills, with a small blip year at SD State. The historic stats are beyond unimpressive, in fairness to his outlook forward. He's really not been on the field much until last week because he's been generally looked at as a backup at his higher-level stops. BUT, if he is a late bloomer of some sort, the opportunity right now couldn't be better.

FWIW Kurt freaking Warner was working at a GROCERY STORE at 23 years old before he got a break in the NFL, when Rams signed him off the street!

Sometimes ya just need a break.

Now what happens if you snooze on him this week, and he has a similar game as last weeks game. And he becomes a permanent part of an offense desperate for a true wr1.

Or he does disappears like Flournoy

Worth a shot if your in need of wr help..

I guess folks haven’t figured this out yet because they are enticed by the fact that Josh Allen is the QB: there are no good fantasy receivers in Buffalo right now.

There just aren’t. None of them are good enough to produce week to week. They’re going to emphasize a pass/run balance. They’re going to spread the ball around. Guys may pop up with 70 yards and a TD every now and then. But none of them are actually good. Not in the short term, and not in the long term. If you have to plug one in and start them out me week, cross your fingers and hope you get lucky and picked the one guy that does a little better than the rest of their receivers that week.

Gabe Davis the guy to own here

Will see how this plays out but Josh has had really no one to trust in a couple of years who can stretch the field. I hate to say it but he might be that guy. Shakir is great around the line of scrimmage but as far as a deep threat Gabe is it. Tonight's a tough test and not even sure he is playing but my guess is yes. If he plays and sputters in comes recently released B. Cooks. They need a reliable speed guy.
