While it seems everyone is considering it a done deal that Casey Mathews is "locked in" as the Eagles MLB based on very early reports,no one is giving much credence to Tyrone McKenzie playing the same role for the Bucs.

McKenzie was a 3rd rounder in 2009 so he's not without talent, just has dealt with injury issues since his entry into the league.

He's taken a leadership role in the off-season and now Morris is heaping praise upon him.

Just wondering why one is considered a lock and the other a longshot?

Probably because McKenzie was let go by the Patriots. I did pick him up to back up Mason Foster(thinking Ruud will leave)though.
