anyone know what team DT ernest hunter from wvu ended up with?  1st team all big east

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Nothing so far.BUT.

Derrick Ross gets a tryout with the Chiefs. That's a very interesting place for him. He didn't sign a deal, and DeArriuss Howard will be there, but this 230 pounder kid can really run the football.

Still waiting on Whitehead and Hartigan...

Ross and Howard are similar. Ill be watching closely to see who sticks. Whitehead and hartigan going unsigned just baffles me.

Wow, that's interesting. I think I like Howard a little better, but you have to think that one of them will stick there.

Chaos, you know a lot. Thanks. Ernest was a childhood neighbor and have been following him through his times at WVU. I am a Hokie too, but still cheer for the guy. If you hear anything, please let me know. This kid got a motor and great size.

Has BYU fullback Naufahu Tahi signed on anywhere yet? He's a powerful blocker, picks up blitzes well, and has soft hands to boot. Seems a natural fit in a West Coast scheme. (Eagles take note...)

The Bears have added Vanderbilts impressive MLB Moses Osemwegie.  Moses is very good.  All SEC and very deserving of being drafted this past weekend.  I think he should have held out for a team with lesser LBs though.

Moses was smart. He is not with the Bears. He turned down signing with them but agreed to try out. He was seeking a better spot. He found it. Osemwegie stays near home and signs with the Titans. It's pretty far fetched to expect much from a UDFA, but if I had to pick a three or four IDPs who could have a fantasy impact, Moses would top the list. The Titans drafted one of my favorite IDP prospects in the 4th round though, MLB Stephen Tulluch from North Carolina State (what a talented D they had).

Bengals  Not a West Coast O, but Tahi leading Rudi is sort of

I like Tahi as a runner too.

Problem is, we just signed Jeremi Johnson to a huge contract and he is locked in to start at FB. At best Tahi makes the practice squad.

Jeremi is probably better than Tahi at everything but carrying it, which is the last thing that matters. It would a shame to see Tahi not get a shot in the NFL, because he's a rare fullback who is fun to watch. But, he'll probably be cut, or sent to the practice squad. If they carry him, it will be for special teams, and I'm doubtful that's something he's built for.

Jeremi is beloved by the Bengals. Check the quotes out in his re-signing articles. Teams do/have carried 2 FBs I'm just saying Johnson has zero worries

Anyone hear anything on RB Travis Glasford from Western Illinois. He was a very good 1AA player and was rated as high as 19th on some RB prospect lists. I saw him play and thought he might do as well as Aaron Stecker, another WIU alum and a decent third down back.

bump

all I've read, just now via google, is that Indy and Chicago were both interested in him. Nothing coming up as a signing or tryout.

Just adding Stanford RB, JR Lemon to the Raiders. Lemon is an interesting player because he has excellent size 6-1 220, and very good speed, but his best assett is being a terrific receiver. Longshot, certainly, but there was a time a couple years ago where many thought he was a sure thing. He ended up in a 3 deep RBBC last year, and I could never figure out what was up, but I figured he fell out of favor with the coaching staff. He always looked like the most talented back to me.

eta - this just makes the missing Terrence Whitehead even more of a mystery...

Only RB left on my board that I haven't seen is Shelton Sampson. Anyone see him signed?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I heard he had some very disappointing workouts and was up around 235 after scouts told him 220 was where he needed to be last December.More on Whitehead. Apparently, he's had several offers, but wanted to be on the west coast. SF, SD, and Seattle were his preferences, but none would offer more than a tryout. Cincy and a half dozen others were offerring to sign him for a year, and he chose Cincy because, quoting a friend quoting a friend within Oregon's AD, "The coaches in Cincy believe in him."
