i'm beginning to think 145 is the best weight class in the UFC.
155, 145 and 135 are my favorites - you almost always get great non-stop action from those classes. It's what made the WEC so awesome to watch.
i just think 145 pulled a bit ahead in the last year. top 10 guys are just so fun and exciting, i think it overtook the 155lb class this year

Yeah I can definitely see where you're coming from on that, 145 is stacked right now.

WTF is Mario doing standing them up?? I guess if a crowd boos it's an auto-standup..
that was a real strange one. i'm sure all the MMA blogs will be crying in an uproar about it. never seen Yamasake do anything like that.

and damn it, but Florian just annoys the hell out of me. his pronunciation of Sarafian is making me vomit in my mouth

i'm asking for TRT from my doctor this week. I want to be able to just kick guy's heads off for guys who have never been KO'd before by much better fighters then i am

Jeez Louise.

Say what you will about Belfort, but he has turned into a scary, scary fighter.
i just wish they would have got Chuck all doped up on TRT to see what he could have turned into.

and yeah, i would refuse to fight Belfort in Brazil. It really is get brain damage or not at this point

Meh. Have fun continuing to fight in Brazil.

Got to wonder how much longer Dan goes. Now lost 3 straight. Not sure what else there is for him to do. I'm sure he'll go for a few more paydays. He's looked better than Frank Mir in their last 3 fights, so he's got that going for him.

Amazing first KO loss of Dan's career.

Current Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren was released today and Bellator waived the right match his next fight.

This should obviously open the door to the UFC if they are interested.

"I've said it many times, Ben's a completely one-dimensional fighter who is utterly dominant in that dimension," Rebney said in a press release announcing the move. "I had a number of discussions with Ben and it became clear it was time for both parties to move in different directions. We've relinquished any right to match here and Ben can sign with whoever he chooses to sign with. Ben's been at Bellator since the start of his career, I respect him and what he's accomplished and wish him the best wherever he goes."

Moves like this can't help the Bellator brand. :violin:

I truly am worried the day Dana leaves the sport, but if there is somebody who may be able to fill the role it might be Chael. Only problem is you can't really ever take the guy seriously, so it will be hard with that. but man does he do a good job making you interested in him. Shame the TUF season of him vs. Wandy is the TUF Brazil, really hope they play that here in the US and would be awesome if they can dub in the English language because the sub titles can get old. i guess they will have to do something because Chael doesn't speak Portugese

 Rampage-Beltran fight is going to be fought at a catchweight of 210 tonight. Beltran says he had to negotiate the fight down from 215, Rampage says he has nothing to do with it. can't believe this charade is allowed to continue, really hope Rampage gets smoked in the 1st round, then fatty can roll back to TNA and make an ### out of himself there

ugh, bad stoppage by Mirgliota there. beltran went down but i think the guy deserves a chance. calling it at 4:59 because of a shot that stumbled Beltran. I wonder if Rampage can get away with skipping weight for all of his fights or no. just embarrassing Bellator

Man did Rampage's post fight interview last night wreak of a man desperate to convince people he still has "it". You haven't had "it" in about 5 years. No one cares about your phantom injuries that are apparently now all fixed and THAT is the sole reason you won tonight. Give me a break. Can't wait to fade him in his next Bellator fight when he inevitably comes in as a monster favorite.

I like Herman, Woodley, Chael and GSP tonight in no particular order.

Also playing Donovan. Know nothing about him whatsoever, but Villante took the fight on very short notice, tends to gas early, looked extremely sucked out at weigh-ins, and was 226 about 4 days ago. I'll certainly be pulling for Gian, but can't pass up a dog at +280 who will become very live if he can survive the first 2 minutes.

:goodposting: I don't know when Rampage became one of most disliked people in Bellator, i think it has been a slow grow ever since he went on his "rampage" in that monster truck. I don't know how anybody can take him seriously at this point, and i wouldn't be surprised if he goes the Mayhem Miller route when he is no longer fighting. I was hoping to cash in on him againt Beltran, will just have to double up the next one when hopefully he comes in and can't even make the catch weight of 210 or 215

good info. on Gian. Taking Herman is ballsy i think, i don't know what to expect from that guy anymore. And Woodley-Koscheck jsut seems like a total toss up to me. Agree with Chael though, especially with plus odds. Rashad just seems to be in a funk, and i think Chael takes him too. I got killed on Rashad vs. lil Nog, and i thought Rashad was going to bounce back after that one, but it just seems like he can't find motivation to fight

Will Campuzano is a vet with really solid skills who’s seen a lot. He’s a big dog against Sergio Pettis tonight. I think Sergio Pettis should probably be the favorite, but Campuzano at +335 seems awfully high.

LETS ALL STACK SOME CHEDDAR AND GRAB THE DUCKETS, FRIENDS. ALL ABOARD THE MEXICAN ELF TRAIN!

I'm in on this one too. line is out of whack. big lights and octagon jitters may play a part for Sergio "Anthony's brother" pettis.

He definitely would have had a prior injury if he'd lost
