Esparza vs Buyavowel up next.
Yep. No doubt.Always thought Brown was being a little overrated.
There goes her modeling career.Well it's now over. Thankfully for whatever her name is.This is just sad to watch a 'champion' at such a disadvantage

You bring up an interesting point in that...when you play in an individual sport like this and you are just absolutely out-classed by an opponent...what do you do? You have built your entire life around your work and it appears that Carla simply is out of her league.I can't remember feeling as bad for a fighter in a fight like that in quite awhile. Polish Power made the champion look like a joke. Wouldn't be surprised if the other gal just retired after that beating. That could have gotten a lot a lot worse than it did.
Lesnar got smashed by Cain, but I get your point. You bring up an interesting point in that...when you play in an individual sport like this and you are just absolutely out-classed by an opponent...what do you do? I mean...obviously she will probably work on improving her stand up...but man...that was brutal. I can't remember the last time I saw the "champ" get made to look like a chump like that.
i thought this was the Ronda Rousey vs everyone threadThe two separate MMA threads have me mixed up. Is the other one going to be purely for betting purposes?
It's like KFC; do you want original or extra crispy? The two separate MMA threads have me mixed up. Is the other one going to be purely for betting purposes?
PEDs?Dos Anjos apparently fought tonight with a torn MCL. Makes his performance and ability to take Pettis down at will just remarkable.
she is awesome too. all the pre-fight stuff was great. She is just a bad-###. i hate reposting stuff but check around 2:28 of this http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/3/14/8213683/ufc-185-embedded-episode-5-i-will-take-the-smile-out-from-her-faceI haven't seen Gadelha fight but I can't see any other woman that was in that TUF that will even posse a challenge for Jedzejczyk.
He had a couple of moments when he turned and ran. Not as blatant as Guida vs Maynard, but I can see why the fans weren't happy about that. It's very clear that Overeem is extremely worried about his chin. These Dallas fans are morons.
Good performance by Overeem.
HoorayI just sent my man Keith / Memphis Foundry a fax. All threads are merged now.
bloodyelbow has a good discussion about it: http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/3/16/8224747/ufc-185-roundtable-was-duke-roufus-right-blinded-anthony-pettis-continue-fightingOne thing that no one has commented on... In the main event, Pettis admits to his corner that he can't see out of his right eye and they didn't seem concerned at all. "Alright kid, just get back out there and get pounded some more, you might win".
I didn't see the fight, but that's not good. not being able to see out of one eye is a pretty significant impediment to your defense, and makes it more likely you will sustain further damage. If fighter "A" sees "B" has some bad swelling in his eye, guess where "A" will be targeting? Guess what kind of punches "B" won't see coming?bloodyelbow has a good discussion about it: http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/3/16/8224747/ufc-185-roundtable-was-duke-roufus-right-blinded-anthony-pettis-continue-fightingOne thing that no one has commented on... They reference the recent issue Rufus' gym ran into with the fighter dying in an amateur bout. I'm not sure what I think about it. I guarantee Pettis would have been upset if they threw the towel in. I guess for me it is the issue if putting him out there puts him at risk for further/permanent damage, or if it doesn't. really hard to figure that out, but I would guess that would determine if he should keep fighting.
Agree completely. If you're only going to read one guy's breakdown, he's the one. I learn something in almost every column of his I read.modogg said:I was still surprised by the beating Pettis took, and this article has a great breakdown. I know a few in here read Jack Slack, but this dude really does thoroughly breakdown and point out things nobody else I see does:
