The 30-27 card on that fight is very suspect as well.

Regardless of how things played out though, Crosby's involvement in the fight is baffling in retrospect, considering his long-standing and relatively acrimonious history with the Serra-Longo Fight Team. Iaquinta's head coach, Ray Longo, told Ariel Helwani on Monday that Crosby has had "inappropriate relationships" with several fighters connected to the gym, including an incident with an unnamed woman which led to her securing a "court order of protection" against Crosby which she held for almost three years and was enforced by two judges.

A part-time official who moonlights as a stunt coordinator in the film industry, Crosby was also recently rebuffed by Iaquinta after seeking the fighter's services for a project. That obvious conflict of interest alone prompted Iaquinta to call it a "travesty" that Crosby was nonetheless assigned to judge his fight.

"It's been documented, Doug Crosby has a long-going feud with -- well, not a feud, but whatever, he hates on us, most particularly Ray Longo," Iaquinta said. "He's got a problem, and this is where it gets serious. The whole thing, MMA, this whole thing is kind of like a joke. Everyone thinks, oh, boo, I cursed them, it's funny. But this is where it gets serious.

"I turned down an offer from this guy, whatever the reason being, and then he's judging my fight. So right there, I don't know, it's just not right. I don't know how that happened. After the fight, I was looking around the cage and I then I saw him sitting down and I said to Ray, Why is this guy judging my fight?' I knew right away, I'm down one judge. I'm down. Three judges are supposed to be objective, see the fight how it is. I knew right off the bat, this guy wasn't giving me nothing."
That's interesting.

So is anyone ordering UFC186 at this point? :lmao: I got to imagine this will be one of the lowest purchased cards in recent memory. Rampage's removal doesn't change much. Just reviewing the card at this point, it's unbelievable how mediocre this is for a PPV card. (I do realize a few bouts were scrapped) This wouldn't even be a good Fox card. Mighty Mouse just doesn't sell. And no one takes Bisping as anywhere close to a contender at this point. He's pretty much the perfect guy to headline a crappy international Fight Pass card.

Nate Diaz and Brown announced for UFC 189.

Rampage is a tool. Talk about ####### delusional :lmao: Usually Kermit memes are funny. His is just sad.

Was going to post the same thing. Not even sure I'd watch it if it was free. Wouldn't take much to draw me away.

I consider myself a hardcore MMA fan, but I hate watching Mighty Mouse fights. Rogan can wail on about technical ability all he wants, most 125ers just aren't very compelling to watch imo.

it's a shame but many feel this way. I really do think Demetrius is a talent and has gotten way better working with that team (can't remember his name for the life of me right now, but really an under-rated coach i think. Of course maybe not under-rated if it is only Mighty Mouse that he can elevate to a higher level).

agreed the card is not enticing, but it isn't like that Rampage made me want to watch it anymore or any less. UFC did a solid by pumping the next few cards. People can complain about 186, but will forget about it 2 days later looking forward to 187 and 189. What is funny about the card, is that the Fox card (maybe next weekend) is a much better card then the PPV. I don't think they were doing these like this before, wonder if they want to give a boost to Fox. that main card will be real fun.

Back to Mighty Mouse though, if he were fighting Dodson would people be moer interested? is it the quality of fight? is it that Demetrius isn't charismatic? is is the weight class?

Real doesn't matter who. Mighty Mouse and the division should not be the 'primary' main event of PPV cards. Could that change sometime in the future? Sure. Right now, it's just not going to attract buy rates. It should at best be bottom co-main. Rampage/Dollaway/Bisping isn't that. As mentioned prior these guys can main event FREE cards or middle/lower part of a PPV.

186 is a modest (at best) Fox card. Not a card I'd even consider attending if it were in town.

I agree with Craig - I really don't care to see a Mighty Mouse main event at all to be honest. Johnson's never been a guy that I like to watch fight, either in the WEC or the UFC. He's at least stopped being such a decision machine in his last few bouts, but 125 is still pretty weak and he hasn't exactly been facing worldbeaters lately either. There's not many great athletes in there to challenge him. Horiguchi is one of them, but I think they're throwing him in there too early because he's one of the few dynamic guys in a division that's desperate for challengers.

Dodson will probably get another shot if he beats Makovsky, but I don't see that turning out any differently than last time (and Makovsky himself is pretty fun to watch but I doubt he's got anything to offer Johnson). Cejudo is a little monster and may be able to give MM a good scrap (but his huge head/tiny body combo makes him look like an amped-up Tyrion Lannister in there, which makes it hard for me to take his fights seriously). Justin Scoggins is one of the few guys at 125 with huge athletic potential, but he's a long long long way from getting anywhere near the belt. Lineker would've been an interesting challenger, but he's probably too slow to catch MM and I think he's having to move up to 135 for not making weight anyway. Then you've got Benavidez and McCall, who are stuck in Urijah Faberville - they can beat the rest of the division but not the champ - and after that there's not much out there that moves the needle.

I'm OK with watching flyweight fights but I don't think they should be headlining a card, and if it's not a title fight, it shouldn't be co-main either. I'm even less interested in women's strawweight fights, and I wouldn't shed any tears if Dana decided to put the kibosh on both weight classes - the FWs could move up to BW and reinforce that division, and the women could go back to Invicta.

Bellator looks like an awesome card tonight:

Will Brooks vs. Dave Jansen LW title fight

Stitch Em Up Schilling vs. Rafael Carvalho

Marcin Held vs. Tiger Sarnavskiy

Alexander Volkov vs. Tony Johnson

I love watching Brooks' fights, dude is a killer. The other fights should all be barnburners and I'm pretty excited to see Volkov make his return against Johnson (who is a beast in his own right).

Thanks for the reminder. Guess I'll need to record one of King of the cage, bellator or axs fights on the bedroom dvr.

isn't Awad on the card too? i love watching that dude as well, as long as he isn't put against a high level wrestler

I just cancelled my season pass for axsTV fights. too much to keep up with.
seriously, it is easier now though because they show whole show in like 2 minutes on Inside MMA. the one that has been pissing me off the most is UFC Tonight. Damn show has it set up so that it records every episode, not just the first run one's. i can't change it so i may have to cancel that too instead of recording 5 of the same episode.

Inside MMA has become very miss-able for me as well. When it first came out (2007 on HDNET) it was great because outside of a couple websites no one covered any MMA as sports news then. Now other than an interest piece or a good interview -- everything they discuss as news is already old hat.

Sorry Bas, you still my ninja regardless.

Yeah, i don't know if i can ever drop that show from the DVR though, for the sole purpose to support Bas. Him and Kenny Rice have really developed into a good team. It is a shame they haven't been able to parlay that any better, those guys should really be more of the face for MMA.

And 6 months later I again ask, why does WSOF keep Melvin Guillard around?

He's missed weight for his first fight.....then misses weight again for a title fight......then trashes your company in the media, and now doesn't even bother to submit medicals. Ray Sefo can deservedly bag on him, but have a little respect for yourself and your company and kick his ### to the curb. What part of "Guillard has no respect for your organization is difficult to understand?"

Ugh. Cro Cop pulls a victory out. Now we get to pretend he's not finished. Reminds me of Henderson-Rua fight last year. Henderson somehow pulls it out after getting dominated and we get to pretend he shouldn't be retired.

Never gets mentioned is that Henderson has lost 5 of 7 since returning to UFC (both wins vs. Rua). One of which was the Rua 2014 fight he pulled outta his ###. It's been a great run.

You can't be dissapointed about how it went though. That was a great fight. I thought he was toast after round two. He looked awesome in round 3.

JoJo Calderwood fights tomarrow!
:(
Was it bad? Saw she got finished via armbar...damn the UFC for not giving her a cupcake (unless that was supposed to be one!).
i didn't see it, just followed online. Doesn't sound like it was particularly bad for her. I was hoping someone here caught the fights. I would love to know how the crowd was. i heard that many have predicted Poland to be a new hot bed for MMA, but they only follow the Polish league there (KWAS or something).

So basically the UFC gave us a bunch of mediocre female fighters in the last TUF and tried to pass them off as the best of the best in that weight class. Then we get to watch them fight and get systematically destroyed by "nobodies".

I would disagree here. Most of those women were proven before they got in the house. JoJo is quite a surprise and it seems that they have good scouting, and i think it is more of that and less the girls were not good. they were considered the top of the division (except for maybe 2 girls). I do think it is similar to the other female fighters though, most of the girls in the house helped to pioneer Women's MMA while girls like JoJo were inspired and began training while they were establishing the division

I hear ya. And small sample set to be sure. But so far, not one of the TUF girls has beat their opponent since the show ended. And the "champ" was annihilated.

Anyone else enjoy watching MarciN Held?

Thoughts on how he would fair in the UFC?
i haven't seen enough, but i like what i've seen.

also just saw Phil Davis signed with Bellator. good move on his part, but i wonder if he will develop or progress at all over there. will be interesting to see. that guy is example A that good athleticism plus a good camp does not equal an increase in skill. for the life of me i can't figure out why his striking isn't better after working out at Alliance for all these years

I'll be there today for the UFC on Fox card. Wish Romero hadn't pulled out but a strong card nevertheless.

Villante +330: Don't have much confidence he will win the fight, but I think this line is way off. Anderson hasn't been too impressive thus far. Gian is durable. This could be a sloppy 3 round decision. Give me the big dog.

Mizugaki +300: Very solid veteran who recently had a 5 fight winning streak demolished by Dominic Cruz. I think a lot of how bad Cruz made Mizugaki look is impacting this line. Sterling hasn't looked particularly great to me so far. Not so sure he's such a bright prospect that he should be such a large favorite to a very experienced Mizugaki.

Cummins -120: Likely to be my biggest bet on the card - especially if either of the first two dogs come in. He's here for business, doesn't care about impressing people, showing off new skillets or entertaining the crowd. I expect Cummins' superior wrestling to neutralize anything OSP can throw at him. OSP tends to gas a bit too, I like Cummins pace and style here.

Dariush -180: More of a fade on Miller than anything.

Damn Corey Anderson was completely out on his feet after that 1 shot from Villante.

Uncle Dana has been spotted cage side with beer and lotion in hand.

damn it bud, i was thinking of you the whole time with that Villante fight. Wish i saw this before the fight, hopefully he has a few of those left in him .

i am also on Cummins and Dariush. Miller's kryptonite has been the young athletic types he can't keep up with. I also grabbed Swanson

Van Zant is a bit reckless at times, but I've been impressed with her grappling.
yeah, i'm impressed too. Her pace is definitely a strong quality. I don't want her to go near JoJo yet cause she will get killed, but that cardio and pace at this weight class will do her well at this weight class

Van Zant just was in better condition. Pretty much the extent of it. He just overwhelmed Herrig nonstop and Herrig had nothing left. Herrig was completely gassed by the mid 2nd.

well, i don't know if it is that simple. I think it is a great weight class for PVZ, Herrig closer to 125 lb'er. But yeah pushing teh pace she does she will light up a lot of the girls who are too small for 135 and a little too big for 115

i gotta remember that Edgar straight kills guys. this Cub Swanson sucks. I don't know what the hell happened to him, but he looks like the Cub from the WEC, before he started looking real good in the UFC

Now that's an impressive performance. Completely dominated Cub start to finish.
it was good, but i would say more of a disappointing performance by Cub. Dude looked lost the whole time. Real shame cause he had looked so good before that Edgar fight, but i wonder if Cub is done

hmm. no interview with Jacare after fight? shame, really seems they are giving the next shot to Rockhold-Machida. i gotta think if Machida wins though it has to go back to Jacare since that Machida was not too long ago

I really hate the UFC's love with Daniel Cormier. They end up having to suck him off every time he is on TV, and now it has moved to that awful camp. Javier Mendez and all of them can F off for all i care
