 Bellator officials tried to find a replacement for Mitrione but were unable to do so on such short notice.

:lol:  I can only imagine how those conversations went. "Hey XXXX, can u fight in a couple hours?"

Only imagine how pissed I'd be if I were driving there right now for the events and get there after start time (30 mins from now) and couldnt get a refund.  .

Chael Sonnen offered to fight Fedor on just hours notice, I'm told. He was ready to go. Bellator was interested but it didn't come together.

Another name discussed as a late replacement was Oli Thompson, but again, no dice. Doesn't sound like Fedor was into late replacement idea.

:lol: I'm sure Chael would be clean. Can't say I'd really want to see Chael after the Tito debacle.

i gotta think almost everybody loves that, but thinking about it i can't blame him. When a guy like McGreggor can come out and dominate the MMA media it seems apparent that showboating is what people want to see. I think everybody is pumped to see it bite somebody back, but if he wins that i am sure he helps his career.

i for one though am happy watching that

It is such a fine line. I love it when guys like Silva, McGregor or Roy Jones Jr do it... But #### do I love watching other guys get KOed doing it.

 
Just a killer for Bellator. No doubt lost a lot of current/potential fans over it. And the way most of their "top guys" contracts are structured, they get no win bonus (show money heavy). Fedor just got a nice payday for nothing (hence there was no reason for him to accept short notice fight).

I watched Koscheck's debacle and the "main event". Had no desire to see anything between. Pitbull looked good. Card was a no win after Fedor fight  (no matter what you think of him) was cancelled.

Koscheck with his 6th straight loss. Hasn't made it out of the 1st in 4 of them. Guy needs to call it a career. Certainly looked like a guy that hadnt been hit in years. He got thoroughly beaten by a nobody that was supposed to be fed as a 'tuneup'. Coker seemed to allude to that. Hasn't won in over 5 years. Can't believe this was his Bellator debut :lol:  Not to mention he was blatantly extending his fingers out with arms extended the whole fight. Maybe he's not aware of the rule change since he's been out for so long. Pretty sure CA has incorporated the new rules. Good for his well being he found a way out of the Paul Daley fight.

I don't know the possibility of it, but if I'm Bellator and looking to draw the biggest crowd possible, I put on Lesnar vs. Lashley. Sadly the best chance of it in future is probably in wrestlng ring.

So Mitrione had kidney stones. Makes sense that he cancelled at such late notice since they give little warning of their impending doom.

 
not sure what i think about the new play-by-play guy with the UFC card (on now!!!!). first round i have seen with him but so far not really feeling it

 
ugh, where is this fight being held? playing "Mama said knock you out" after that fight is really just bad and poor taste, etc. reminds of "Just Bleed" crowd that seemed to be more of the minority these days

ETA: Houston, Texas. Texas would have been one of my top 3 picks. 

ETA2: weird promo though having Lewis talk about he likes Houston cause of their food. i don't remember any other location have a fighter cut a promo for them on the card

Only barely paying attention to tonight's UFC, but gotta say, although I like Theodorou, he's very prone to making his fights ugly wars of attrition.

 
That fight was boring as ####. Theodorou is the definition of a point fighter. 90% of his shots don't land. Might be the most boring fighter on the roster.

:lmao:  real glad that it looks like Hendricks used the 15 pound difference to put on a bunch of muscle. Watch him turn out to be the MW divisions version of Big Country
