UFC wagering: no longer stuck with the old thread title. The window to change it is here! (3 Viewers)

The odds on Cyborg are getting so high that it might be worth taking a shot on Yana at +1000 (+1400 for a stoppage). Fight Odds I don’t see how she wins other than a lucky kick or punch. But at those odds in the MMA world I feel like the freak upsets are more possible/profitable.

Anyone have anything on this fight card?
Throwing out some dfs picks because I'm a junkie and it makes watching more fun. Jordan Johnson -225 isn't too exciting but seems like a no brainer. I like the favorite in every fight. That's no fun. Meh.

What an absolute horrible card. But, of course, I'm buying it anyway because the wife said, "What?? We aren't getting the fights? Who cares if the card sucks? I don't want to miss out on some fights that might end up being good!"

So, another $65 plopped down on a bad card...

I don’t follow the UFC as much as should or used to but it seems not bad. 5 fights with an undefeated fighter, Cyborg is crazy and some older fighters who were bigger names for awhile.

Also, you have a cool wife.

Yes, she’s super cool.

It’s just not a high quality card. None of these fights hold any real intrigue. Just some fights that might end up being decent.

How is Adalaide byrd still allowed to score fights?  She is a disgrace to judges everywhere.  WTF is the UFC doing.
The UFC doesn’t pick the judges and they aren’t going to ever boycott Nevada for events. But I get what you’re saying. The score cards are a mess tonight.

Eh, no huge matchups, but enough people I root for to make it entertaining. Don't know about $65 entertaining, but the undercard looks fun enough regardless, and:

-It's freakin' Cyborg.
-Edgar/Ortega is a legit matchup.
-O'Malley has no business being this high up on the main card, but the only fight of his that I saw was mad fun, and he's a hilarious dude.
-I'll be sad about Arlovski/Struve no matter the outcome 'cause I like them both, and both could use a decisive win at this point in their careers.
-I guess I like Zingano and Vieira too, but not as hyped about it.
-And Dern's UFC debut is probably the coolest thing on the card, honestly.

Mother of God, what a KO by Hernandez. Like one of those anime punches where the character punches through the other dude, and the fact that it was Dariush on the receiving end makes it even crazier, 'cause he's tough as nails.

Soukhamthath a moron for staying on the ground :lmao:   Decision cost him the fight.

Gutty effort by O'Malley

Just not fair.

Good effort by Yana
That was one of my main problems with this card. It was the main event, championship fight, and we are applauding a girl for her effort when she was scared out of her mind and extremely over matched. She had no business being in there.

Was Frankie fazed by the elbow?  How long after was the uppercut?  I only saw the highlights.  That uppercut tho...
Yes the elbow rocked him. He was seriously hurt. Then Ortega did something impressive. He didn't go ape#### looking for the kill shot. He didn't take Frankie down despite his awesome submission game. He literally grinned after the elbow and waited for Frankie to be just right for that upper cut. Great patience even though it didn't take long.

I would love to see her and Nunez meet at a good weight and duke it out. That would be a damn good fight.
I know you are more up on this kutta, but wouldn't Nunez be giving up like 25 pounds on fight night even if Cyborg made 140, she'd probably be 175 night of, no?

I hate the Cyborg/Nunes “superfight” idea. Reeks of desperation, undermining a current champion for the sake of PPV buys - and I don’t even know how well it’d do on its own, as neither is a proven big draw.

(I didn’t like the idea of past champ vs. champ superfights eother, for the record.)

Nunes cuts a lot of weight too - I’m not sure how much, but the difference wouldn’t be insane.

I like it. The skill/talent discrepancy between the top girls and the next level is so big that there’s only so many intriguing fights you can make.

And I’m not even talking about undermining anyone. I think Nunes might agree to 145 of the price is right.

I think that would be co-main with a solid main following it.

Dana White said after the fight that Nunez/Cyborg was “fight to make”. So you might get your wish.
Yeah, they're desperate for a decent matchup, or even just a marketable one. There have been no natural female 145ers to challenge Cyborg. Not as long as Megan Anderson is doing whatever the hell she's doing.

Paul Craig was possibly fighting for his UFC life tonight.

It is late 3rd round, he is losing the fight badly, and on his back defending.

With ten seconds left he puts a triangle on his opponent out of no where.

Opponent taps with 1 second left on clock.

That was crazy. Never seen anyone tap that fast to a triangle, much less with one second left in the fight. I guess he panicked, but still bizarre. #### all Akhmat MMA guys though.
