UFC wagering: no longer stuck with the old thread title. The window to change it is here! (4 Viewers)

Two great fights so far. Will have to catch the rest later.

Btw, Brian Stann is the best. The best, Jerry.

wow, haven't seen a fighter who wanted to be there any less since Kaleb Starnes. I know Cole Miller has #####ed about his contract, but man why train and fight if you are that disinterested

i'm getting worried that Fox is doing the UFC the same as this recent push by hipsters for ugly xmas sweaters and the youth of today ruining tattoos. Can't put my finger on it, but watching this show now it gives me a creepy feeling.

Also ballsy for the UFC to put Mike Perry on a Fox show. over/under on a racist statement or something should be at 1.5

Bear Jew vaults into the top contender pool for best UFC nickname.

Ready to watch my man Platinum Mike Perry drop some bombs on Zoolander here  :excited:

i feel like Mike Perry is a much, much better fit for Bellator. Not at all skill related, just seems like he is a total Bellator guy

Cole Miller won't need to worry about UFC and contract anymore. Contract over and so are his UFC days. He lasted nearly 10 days in UFC and still only 32. Sadly he's replaceable and won't be worth the hassle to UFC right now.

His situation with the Manila card is a prime example why their needs to be a union.

you ever want to read about a fighter's union look for comments by Joe Lauzon or some others. He articulates very well how it sounds good, but in reality it is a mess. One i was thinking of the other day was what would this union do about PEDs in the UFC. Mark Hunt is one of the most vocal fighters with his displeasure, and his example is a good example of how a real fighter's union would be difficult

Agree, WME screwed him over there.

Man it was nice for Faber to go out with a win but I hate seeing Pickett take another beating like that. Both those guys put on some great fights in their careers (plus they both have excellent entrances).

Rogan hyping Gall for beating CM Punk  :lmao:

This one's tough for me to call, Gall's never fought anybody on Sage's level, but he's bigger and seems to have more of a mean streak. Still gonna root for Super Sage though because it cracks me up how bad people hate on the kid when he wins.

this is pretty bad. and i don't mind this, but highlighting the talk between these 2 and everything almost makes me think the UFC is trying it's best to get out of this Fox contract

Gall will be a load at 155. His standup needs work (A LOT less than Sage's pitiful ground game) but terrific ground game.
we've seen him against a pro wrestler, an MMA writer, and kid way too green to be in the UFC. I'll hold judgement for now, but the kid does a good job of owning his career and taking advantage of any opportunity he gets

Gall looks like a big WW though, hope he doesn't kill himself getting down there. I still want to see him against some more proven competition, but that was a decent win.

Sage needs to spend a couple more years fighting jobbers and working on his wrestling before he's ready for primetime again.

whew, Karate Hottie looked slick with her grappling.

I'm still a fan of both Northcutt & Gall.  I wouldn't say Gall landed a "lucky" punch, but it was an exchange where Northcutt got in a bad position.  It stunned him just enough for Gall to get another takedown, where he really displayed nsome good Jiu-Jitsu.  Northcutt is still a superior striker, but needs more time on the mat.

He is still young, and has made a name for himself.  They will throw him on a few more cards on primetime or fightpass.  Plus, be has a great fighting style, and even talked a little smack.

Sage tried to shoot in on Mickey's leg after he got knocked down, that was a big mistake. But I agree with you, he'll be back in the mix at some point, he's only 20. I think he ought to go back down to 155 though, 170 hasn't been kind to him.

That's right. I think that punch to the back of the head fazed him to where he was looking to hold on, as opposed to getting speared and attacked.  He definitely wasn't thinking right.  It reminded me of when Conner tried to take down Nate at the end of their 1st.

Northcutt has to be the worst fighter with UFC victories. Dude needs to get into a real gym and stop letting his dad run his camps.

VanZant looked like she didn't really want to be there. And I can count on one hand the number of women's MMA fights that didn't feature a head-and-arm throw.

Miller looked horrible.

Missed the first two fights because the local Fox affiliate cut in for tornado warnings. Lovely.

Sad night for the pretty boys/girls.  Both looked awful and outclassed.  VanZant is too good looking to care enough about fighting to become great.  She makes too much on endorsements to care.

It's refreshing to see an unpolished guy like Gall talking so candidly.  24 years old, on the way up, and has his entire career in front of him.  I love his humbleness as well.  Both him and Sage seem way too nice for this sport. Haha

that's a funny one. When WME was the big purchaser of the UFC i thought it had to be more then just wanting another investment. With Gina Carano, then Rousey, they have a whole group or women (and men too) that they could probably turn into addl. funds coming in. Hell McGreggor can probably account for 1 billion himself, they could get him to go against Mayweather and take 25% of the purse or something.

i thought it was a bit  :tinfoilhat: , but it actually could make a lot of sense

I'm not sure what Gall's better at, promoting or RNCs.  If he gets Hardy, that's a pretty interesting trio he's called out.

Well, you can look great at RNCs when you fight people who suck at RNC defense.
