Ugliest Football Uniforms Ever (1 Viewer)

I believe we have a leader in the clubhouse. Gonna be really hard to beat.

Orlando Thunder - World League of American Football (1991)

 :lmao: :lmao:

That linebacker doesn't know whether to tackle Kerwin Bell or put him in his Corona.

Interesting tidbits about this team:

Backup QB: Scott Mitchell

General Manager: Lee Corso

Offensive Coordinator: Galen Hall, former Florida Gators head coach
Oh man when I saw this thread title the Orlando Thunder is exactly the team I thought of. They were actually pretty good in their WFL's inaugural season.

Gotta go to the hockey world

for the alltime worst uniform

Vancouver Canucks 1978-85.

theirs are so bad that Cal got jealous and decided that they wanted the most hideous uniforms in the Pac-10 so they tried to "outdo" them this year

eagles 75th anniversary unis. the conversation begins and ends here. yuck
I was just thinking that, here's a link go to the April 25th "75th Anniversary Anouncement"Can't believe they and the Jets are going with these unis this year. Can't find a Jets link, maybe I am thinking of the Giants, but one of them is wearing an awful jersey this year. Worse than the Giant's current one.

I have to agree with this. Those god-awful yellow and green jobs are "fugly"

Right church, wrong pew.Vancouver Canucks logo... 1971-1980

My buddies and I always joke about how they arrived at this logo. We picture a smoke-filled room, late at night. Everyone is scratching their heads, frustrated that they can't come up with a new logo. Suddenly, someone in the back of the room stands up and shouts "I GOT IT!!!"

"Okay, follow me here. We make a blue ice rink, and put a stick in the middle. So what do you think?"

:D

Before the WFL went on top Europe, does anyone remember the play where the Orlando Thunder caught the other team sleeping and instead of a fair catch or downing it in the endzone as the other team thought happened...all the sudden this dude takes off and ends up going all the way down and scoring a TD...this had to be late 80s at some point...I know I remember it happening.

:goodposting: many people think the vintage canuck uniform is one of the best going in hockey ... or maybe that's just how we feel up in Vancouver :excited:

Don't misinterpret what I said.I love it! The simplicity of the design is what makes me laugh.

Holy Bejesus! :excited: That one on the far right might just give the Thunder a run.

I'll give it a few days until there are some good nominations, then I'll create a poll.

I like that FSU uni :lmao:
You also like dogfighting and STDs. :lmao:

Here is the pic. Wow, that's awful. Are they playing football or Jai Alai?
I don't see how those Eagles ones can be beat, even by those hideous Thunder ones.

I know it is off topic, but it is bothering me...

Why do teams that call themselves the "Thunder" have Lightning on their logo??...I know you can't see thunder, but then why pick it. It is like the Lions putting a Tiger on their helmet.

OK, rant over...

Cappy better not nominate the '76 Bucs. Those uniforms were bad, but in NO WAY do they beat the Thunder.
Building my collection of orange jerseys. Have a Selmon, Sapp and a Lynch now. :goodposting:

You know that the hockey rink and stick actually form a C for the Canucks, not as simple as you think.
My mistake. That design is MUCH more intricate than I originally thought.

Well, right now they are only making basketball uni's, but knowing Nike, the System of Dress will find its way to the gridiron too soon.

If you haven't seen them, Nike's new System of Dress uniforms for Florida, Ohio State, Syracuse and Arizona are pretty bad, especially Florida (simulated alligator hide finish!) and Syracuse.

Here's the Link

 I knew they'd be on Page 1.

Horrendously hideous.

I think the idea behind putting a stick through the rink is to make the rink look a bit like a "C", which stands for Canucks. It takes bit of a Gestalt shift to see it.Anyways, I am not sure Vancouver has ever had nice uniforms but the old blue and green logo it pretty classic and probably the best they ever had; far better than the V jerseys from the 80's. Those were atrocious.

Don't forget the disco skate when talking about the Canucks. 'tis true though that they've never seemed to get it right.

I think the Yellow are the more awesomely bad ones

Third Jersey in Red rockin' the Disco Skate

The website where I got the discoskate photo has some interesting tidbits on some other horrors. Quoting him about the notorious V's: "Ah, those dreaded V jerseys! These controversial uniforms were designed by a San Francisco psychologist! " And if it wasnt' mentioned before, the V stood for Victory (not Vancouver)

North Carolina has some butt ugly uniforms.
Johnny, yu have to be just  , because those are some of the sweetest unis in football.

PSU's uni's are clssic and simple. Maybe they aren't cool, and would certainly never win in a poularity contest, but to mention them among the all time worst is another :own3d: trip for sure.As far as the Bengals, I can see how some might think them ugly. I like them personally, but it's definately a loud style not all could appreciate. The Eagles anniversary uni's take the cake for me. I'm going to try colored glasses for that game so I don't throw up in my mouth again.

Man, you guys have already hit almost all of the unis that immediately came to my mind when I saw this thread (Creamsicle Bucs, Oregon Ducks, and asymetrical Gators).

My favorite part is how the helmet doesn't even match anything. It's an entirely different shade of green than any other part of the uniform. I really don't think the yellow uniform on the right can be topped. One addition that I haven't seen yet is the original Denver Broncos uniform, complete with the most infamous socks in NFL history.

The star on the Dallas helmet is a completely different shade of blue than their jersey numbers, and the Vikings helmets for years was a different purple than their jerseys. Not sure if that's still the case with the uniform change last season.
It's not as noticeable for Dallas because the Star is small and subtle, while the Oregon helmets are very large, metallic, and immediately grab the attention. Also, not sure that I see much of a difference with the Vikings helmets. That's a picture of Culpepper, so it definitely predates the uniform change.

With the Vikes, it was FAR more noticeable on television.

nice call, there was certainly a color match problem with the viking helmets/jerseys until they finally fixed it in 2002 (i think). it used to bug the holy crap out of me! uggh...

What crack you smokin? Yeah they're plain, even boring maybe. Ugly? Hardly. In fact classic in an old school, simplistic/pared down way. Ditto the Browns. You want NFL ugly, try BAL or SEA w/their all-blue nausea (or really any team with all one color uniforms - JAX has them too I think). PHI's old 80s style helmets (green and silver wtf) also.

:goodposting: Penn State uniforms aren't too plain, they have way too much going on with that stripe on the helmet and around the color and sleeves.....its just too complicated. I agree with you on teams that employ the same color jersey and pants combo recently in the NFL, its not a good look.

Arizona's red-on-red and Denver's blue-on-blue are very sharp looking. Chicago's blue/blue too.
