Uhhhh….Antonio Brown just quit mid game (1 Viewer)

This isnt CTE, this is just pure mental impairment. This is him being who he is. CTE isnt an excuse for every NFL player who is terrible at living life.

People ask me why I am so harsh on professional athletes who make millions, this is why...they act like entitled babies, some just worse then others.

And sometimes they have CTE. It's a real thing.

This is on Bruce Arians.

Bruce Arians is an awful human and coach and his humiliations in this matter is awesome.

To be so ignorant on the cancer you allow on your team to go back on your own word and him to just do this.

Arians isnt a good coach and its all Tom Brady. Bruce Arians can get fired tomorrow and the team wont miss a beat.

The reason Brown is allowed to act like he does is because you have coaches who allowed him to even be in the NFL.
Easily a bottom-5 coach in the league.

If it is something medical, why was he out there in the first place? Why has he played as many games as he has since he first started acting like this?

You can keep going back and forth, it's fine. I'm not the one who is crazy, AB is and I'm trying to further conversation about establishing protocol just like they do Covid, needs to happen for when players exhibit this kind of behavior. He's not the only one.

I'm simply asking for him to go thru a Psych evaluation, even if its unvoluntary, he shouldn't be allowed in the Bucs locker room, he poses a danger in the mind set he left the field with.

-Arians just dismissed him as a Bucs player, so he really wasn't one as soon as he stripped off the uniform, I would say he was a civilian before he left the field.

-And now he gets no assistance from the Bucs or any NFL team, it's sad really.

But you can keep pointing that I have the problem, it's fine

-Let's move on if you don't want to help me discuss a better protocol, we always find good topics.

-Cheers!
I’m not saying you have a problem. I never said that.

You called for him to be restrained by LE & claimed that once he takes off uni he’s a civilian.

It’s simply not true and I pointed it out. He’s still a member of the team. He can’t be arrested or restrained without having broken any law.

It is a team discipline matter.

Im not saying you’re the problem. I’m saying you were incorrect about that very specific aspect.

I agree with you that he’s nuts & needs help. Your suggestion of helping him by having the police violate his rights was off base.

cheers.

Pretty sure that's not accurate. If someone is acting out of there senses, or completely irrational, I'm pretty sure they can be restrained. (Although, maybe there is a technicality there, where the LE asks them to calm down, obey some order, etc, and if they don't they are then breaking a law.)

@PSchrags: Can confirm Antonio Brown is not flying back with the Buccaneers. Per source, “He gone.”

Maybe he’s laying low at the IKEA near the airport in Elizabeth, NJ next to the airport.

As far as bizarre incidents to derail a team in the fantasy championship, this is right up there with Steve Smith being the #1 fantasy Wr for the year, and then in the fantasy championship week catching one ball, throwing a punch, and getting ejected.

That performance cost me a championship (lost by less than one point) and this is definitely not going to help me this year.

Please don't tell me I'm being silly, with the CTE and everything else right now, there as to be an established protocol at this point. Society has changed a lot since we were all going crazy about simple kneeling of the flag, it's different now.

-When a player exhibits the type of craziness AB displayed with his track record, you better believe he should be in police custody as a courtesy to Brown himself if no one else, we're not talking felony here, simply holding him in a cop car until the end of the game or in police custody for his own Safety, did you see what he did out there?

I had a loved one once pull something of a similar situation and we had him Baker Act and held for several hours until we could be reasonably sure they wouldn't hurt themselves or anyone else, I'm shocked you are so dead set on making a legal point vs the broader topic here...you've done this with other posters, wish you would stop with me since we usually agree but it's not working allowing you to TOTALLY MISCHARACTERIZE the intentions all the way around here is disheartening.

I don't wish to discuss it any further with you, you made your point, let that part of it go. I've seen people arrested or detained who display what we saw on that field today. If you cannot understand that, again not much to discuss.

And I don't need you to keep telling me I'm not the problem, I already know that but thank you.

I don't think you can arrest someone for throwing a tantrum or quitting a job in spectacular fashion, but he definitely needs psychiatric help.

I think he was the highest percentage owned WR this week in draftkings. Total meltdown but par for the course for this guy. Really sad. He just can't help himself. I'm sure several people have tried to talk some sense to him, but he is clearly operating on a completely different wavelength than a normal person.

Arians fired him at the Press Conference, I would not have let him return to the Bucs Locker Room but i'm betting he wasn't walking around alone in there...imagine the people watching him gather up his stuff while his team comes roaring back from 24-10 to win a game he quit on.

I wonder what Brown thought after the Bucs/Brady won, surely he thought the Bucs were going to lose when he left the field.

Proud of the Bucs to overcome such a thing.

I didn't see this post but 100% agree on this

It's true but I want to say something

@Hot Sauce Guy I apologize if we are wrestling. I'm bitter(Not FF) and mad and so perhaps the fan side getting the better of me but I thought with the way things have been lately that the Shark Pool would likely agree with my premise because this could happen with other players and we also have players raising their hands and saying they have mental health issues and we want to believe them...but that means that there has to be a protocol or a "set of rules" that needs to be followed.

The fact it is AB with a long and distinguished list of haters doesn't help, I get why folks hate on him, so do I typically.

I mean I get it but they did win a super bowl with him
And I did thank him for his SB contributions right after I wrote a couple expletives to Antonio in the game thread.

Excellent point Cappy, can't measure Lombardi Trophies, it's not like the Bucs team likes him, feels like just Brady was on his side.

After a brief stint in the locker room, said to have walked out of the stadium shirtless still as he left the field into a waiting police car while the game was still on and driven to the airport.

Nothin but love for ya, GB. We’re all good.

Apparently Arians told AB to go in the game and Brown refused. Arians then told him to get out / he was done and AB went off the rails.
Honestly it makes sense, I don't want to hate on Bruce Arians, I'm quite a fan but I think he didn't even discuss this with Brady who i doubt said a word to Arians but...if the Bucs unravel in the 1st round of the Playoffs, Brady can win anywhere they let him construct a lot of the offense and I wouldn't be shocked if he moves on to Team #3.

Maybe that's an overreaction, I'll admit that one

Wow. Just….wow.

I think the suggestion above might be on point. He might have forgotten there’s an 18th game, & got pissed that he wasn’t going to hit his $1M in incentives.

It would certainly explain a lot.

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer

Just talked to Bruce Arians who said he was trying to get AB to go into game & AB refused. Tried again Brown refused & Arians told him to get out. On if he saw AB take his jersey off. “Yeah, I did. Never seen anything like it in all my years.”
