Once I take underwear off I put it in the laundry. Would I wear a pair of underwear for a couple of days? Sure - but once it comes off it goes in the laundry. Other clothes I will hold out or put away and rewear but not underwear.

I put on pair of clean underwear - i wear it for 2-3 hours - take it off and don't put undwear back on until the next morning/later that night - whatever ......

It's not that you have to change them every two to three hours, it's that once they're off, what do you do with them? Re-wear them as a clean item? Or launder them?

Underwear is a shower to shower item for me. Same set stays on if it's a few hours or a couple of days if I'm just bumming around at home.
In this scenario, I'd certainly rewear them, but I'm also not going to put them back in the underwear drawer either. So a separate buffer zone is going to need to be created for the time in between.

Woke up at 7am.
Worked until 11.
Worked out until 12.
Worked until 1:30
Took shower. Put on clean underwear.
Went out for 45 minutes.
Came home worked until 4.
Went upstairs took off my clothes slowly
Put on a pair of gym shorts going commando
Along with T-shirt and hoodie.
I rarely wear panties in the house
I will sleep in these shorts

Why are you getting so angry? I truly didn't understand what you meant. I don't think it's normal going commando in the house but that's just me.
Give your example above and now that I understand what you meant then yes I would wash them.

I have at least 30 pair of underwear, a washing machine, and I don't fold my underwear after they come out of the dryer. Why wouldn't I pull out a clean pair.

You didn’t ask me, but yes, I sleep in the nude, and usually am a home commando regardless.
So if I showered to go out to dinner, for example, the OP’s scenario would apply.
Also could apply to a host of underwear-less activities, like swimming or cycling (with cycling shorts).

Timely post as I'm doing this.
Traveled today for work. After court I had some sunlight so I went for a walk/jog. Came back to hotel and showered. Put on a pair of underwear and pants to go out for dinner. Temp outside is ~60 an restaurant obviously comfortable temp. Did not use restroom nor flatulate. Was gone a couple of hours. Upon return, I set both the underwear and pants out to wear tomorrow as I dressed into a t-shirt and lounge pants (no underwear) to work the remainder of the night in the hotel room and to wear in bed.
I do this often and without thinking as I see no issue and it saves my wife the extra laundry.

Same. I usually wear the same clothes* to bed two nights in a row.
I prefer a top and bottom while sleeping so usually it's a t shirt and boxers or comfortable shorts in the summer and a t shirt and lounge pants or pajama pants (my wife does the Christmas jammies thing so I get one new pair of actual pajamas per year). Wear two nights in a row assuming no obvious sweating and I didn't go directly to the gym in the morning because I don't care and it saves my wife more laundry.

Voted yes but it's probably only 3-4 times in the past 12 months. Would happen if I went out to breakfast on a weekend and upon returning home I changed into sweats w/o underwear to relax, watch TV, sit in front of the computer etc.
